Who is the new member called MoJo?

I see a number of seemingly authoritative posts but I can't establish the background or credibility of the aforementioned member.

Does he own a Ty? Does he own a Sy?

Is it another one of DaveP's pseudonyms?

What's the story?

Like everyone, I welcome new knowledge and new blood but like anyone I am wary of newcomers.

Would the new member care to introduce themself?

I'm hopeful of a new information resource on here, but seeing odd punctuation (closing parentheses with no opening one, sentence sounding like a continuation of previous info when there is no prior info, etc...) has me skeptical of a copy-paster looking to solidify a tech rep on a site w/o actually having first hand knowledge. On the other hand, some of the info seems "straight from the horse's mouth", so to speak.

I hope the former is just grammatical/punctuation oversight.

MoJo is a drink that I use to have oversea many full moons ago. As long as you were setting down everything was a OK, But when you stood up, your world was really spinning and it was just seconds before you hit the floor. The real problem came later with the worst hangover ever. The funny part was that you couldn't taste the alcohol at all if it was made right. Hopefully this will answer you question about MoJo :tup:.

Open and pour the beer into a large punch bowl. The type of beer is up to you, but light beers work best. Do not use flavored or dark beers.

Add the light and dark rums to the punch bowl.

Add cherry brandy into the bowl as well. Using a long spoon or ladle, mix the alcohol together.

Pour the cans of 7UP into the punch bowl. Feel free to use diet 7UP if you want to reduce the drink's calorie content.

Add the pineapple juice to the bowl. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Place the punch bowl in the refrigerator to chill.

Add ice to the punch bowl just before serving. Adding the ice too soon will cause it to melt and dilute the drink. The amount of ice is up to your individual tastes, but you will probably need at least 6 or 7 cups of ice.

Ladle the mojo into an individual glass and enjoy. This mojo recipe will serve at least 24 people--depending on how many drinks each person consumes--and is easily scaled down for smaller gatherings. To make a smaller batch, simply reduce all the ingredients by half.

It isn't me. Does that writing style look like mine? Other than the length of the posts? MoJo is about 90% on punctuation and spelling. Mine is usually 100%. At least I strive for it to be. I edit and re-do my posts about 5 times before I'm satisfied with them.

And, it's not as easy to get a new user-name registered now as it used to be. All new users have to be "approved" by admin. Knock it off with the "hazing" regarding my pseudonyms. I didn't mean to wind you up Dave but oddly enough I do derive some small satisfaction that I did - :D

I originally posed the question when fairly inebriated so to answer your question, I don't confuse the two styles of writing. It is also fair to say the hallmarks aren't limited to the punctuation and accreditation :tup:

I apologise for dragging you into the question.

I find it weird that this person is very prolific in terms of certain detail but hasn't really said much about their truck if at all. Some of the posts are either totally contrary to advice that is on here (Melling oil pumps for example) or else seems far too technical to be word of mouth and it is as suspected, a copy/paste effort.

Where does this knowledge come from?

Come on MoJo, reveal yourself!

I am also pleased that as we lead into the holidays, there are some stellar drinking recipes coming out of the woodwork.

Talking of which....

I have never heard this line before:rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:. Most people only like it once because of the effect that it has. Made right and not tasting the alcohol makes most people drink alot more then 1 drink, then you get a rude awaking when you stand up.

It really is irrelevant. The guy most likely is just using resources at his disposal (Google, Rockauto, GMPartsDirect, GM Parts Lookup, whatever....) to come off as well-versed and knowledgeable in S-Series/SyTy repair. Lots of this happens on forums. My secretary can find me the correct axle seal for a S-10 in 2 minutes with Google/Rockauto/s10forums.com.....doesn't mean she even knows what an axle seal is.

My point is that until the guy starts spouting genuine, first-hand knowledge or starts including a bibliography with each reply, I'm not giving him another thought. I can search for myself.....

Being the jokester I usually like to be and some know me for, I cant claim on that one.

Pretty sure Lowlo is the real deal...else someone would have leaked who it was by now and no one has owned up to it as far as I know... and he funny as hell I might add.

Besides, while my punctuation is never 100%, I still make an effort to at least make sense and have my posts understood and easily read by others.
