Re: Who in St. Louis owns 8 Typhoons?
OK boys so those of you who know me know I am not a jerk, a Typhoon hog, or unsociable, just had a very bad dealing with an old member and I have been mostly in the hospital for years due to a really bad bike wreck . I worked for McDonnell Douglas as a Harrier engine operator from June of 78 till Dec. of 2002 when I got my knee cut in half and had to medically retire myself on social security believe me it has been no fun. I also bought all but 2 of my Ty's before I got hurt it is an awesome truck and I love them all I don't claim they are all perfect but if you know mechanic's (years at MAC) you can work on them your self and of course my big brothers / little brothers and nephews help out quite a bit.I'd say most of you are top notch guys that I have never met or bad mouthed, but I do keep to myself as I am on a lot pain medication...oxycontin /percocet /vallium /soma /ms contin / again for chronic pain, coumadin for blood clots that develop in my lungs and left leg I also have a right crushed elbow that has 25% usage and I am right handed and have osteomolytis (look it up!) and partying with ya's? I am 49 years old so I dont think I fit in, If I want to own one of every color and totally restore them and put them in perfect stock condition ...so tell me WHY ALL the HASSLE? I do believe for the most part my trucks are beautiful and I pay no one to work on them it is my thing, like racing them is yours! Hell I joined your SYTY club a lil' while back just so as to get better parts and at best establish some friends but it is now very apparent that your a great bunch of guys for the most part and as in any real life society you have have a few bad apples and those are the ones that made it unpleasant, but I think we have it all worked out! Seriously guys why the hassle do I hassle you? That was my way of thinking then but I am totally interested in your club atmosphere and the comradere. The incident I was refering to was a member got my address and published it and thought it would be funny to try to lead people to steal parts from them I see now that it was only a paranoid attitude of mine because I had so much tied up in them financially and just plain hard work and wanted no one to mess with my head at that particular time in my life so yeah can we all let bygones be bygones? Enough said! There....I hope you all accept my apology over my what just seemed like a bad attitude?...and by the way my lil' brother is one of the best damned welders in the midwest so its amazing how easy it is to cut and replace and put it back together correctly, my bad apple Ty is my royal blue over argent its next in line for a frame off and then my aspen could use just a frame resto not body and best of all they are all perfectly stock except the tires / plastic gas tanks / k&n / and exhaust, they sit too long for these items to stay in good condition. My colors include , 93' black on argent,93' apple red on apple red, 93' white on white, 93' royal blue on argent, 92' teal on argent ,93' garnet red on argent, 92' aspen blue on argent, 92' raspberry on raspberry. 92' forest green on argent this was the order in which I bought each one by the way and all with c/d players NOW! thanks to the members of the SYTY community , four have roof racks and damn near 9.5 to10 interiors with the exception of the aspen it's beautiful 'cept the front buckets need just the leather inserts replaced and I now since hooking up with your club got a perfect set of seats supposedly spoken for just waiting on him to get them sent to me and a hundred or so extra parts the engine compartments look like new! Ok you got me here the "wheels" I am gonna send them all out to get turned and powdercoated they are not horrible just want that slick look but thats down the road a bit at a hundred bucks a shot!...now the reason for these trucks: when I was a kid I could get muscle cars 55,56,57, Chevys 63/64 Impala SS's all day long for 100 to 300 dollars me and my brother have had 4 1967 SS427 Impalas and one 1968 SS427 Impala (never have seen another one),a 1959 El Camino and a Bel Air, a 68 ragtop Camaro RS/SS with every single option, a big block 454 S-3 Laguna a 1958 Corvette and now looking back I can see that it was a big mistake letting those awesome machines get raced and junked! Now I see these GMC's will be worth a fortune in the years to come, and the one that killed me was a 1977 Kawasaki 1000 L.T.D.I hit a house with it at 85 miles an hour in St. Ann Mo.on Hobday ave.in September and was pronounced dead , throttle jammed and I panicked and shoulda just pulled in the clutch*****DAM that HURT~~~~>STILL!!!!! .... SO COME ON GUYS WHY THE HASSLE? I will answer any question's I can if anybody ever wants to talk hell I even give out my phone # and since I am not married and retired :syty: anytime is ok with me. and the one that has it in for me is XXXXXXXXX? ..I do not even know this guy and yeah St. Louis County would let you keep nine Typhoon's in your front yard? And thats an effin way to do someone is to run them through the DMV`~~~~~> 5 minutes huh? well lets see I do own a 1945 GMC 1/2 ton , a 1947 Chevrolet 1/2 ton, a 1970 Monte Carlo with 42,xxx miles bought for $100 at an estate sale, a 1974 Yellow Big Block Vette currently under resto, a 1983 4x4 Blazer lifted 6 inches wheel wells cut out with 36.5 swampers, a 1983 Chevy 1 ton 482 C.I.D. with 44 super swampers also with the wheel wells cut out to look completely stock I can walk you through it if you ever want 3 1/2 inch wider wheel wells that look stock even with the wheel opening mouldings put back on but they need to come off of a Suburban to work and fit right, a 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme Broughm , a 1989 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo with the touch screen that is currently crunched! I also have touch screens for sale if anyone needs one and Riviera touch screens too!, then theres my BABY a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado Aztec Red in color with Graphite Composite interior trim Commemmorative Edition #977 of 1596 built and start laughing what I drive everyday .....a 1990 beat up 230,xxx miles Honda Civic Station Wagon that gets GREAT mileage about 34 I think and if ya go easy on her around 40 MPG on the highway...so there you have it I am truly a car nut I love building things and no they for the most part are not licensed who could afford that! So if ya just gotta DIS me pm me and I'd be happy to talk to any of ya's ask Big Angel how easy I am to deal with....Doug the idiot with count 'em 9 Typhoon's in St.Louis Mo. oh and I pay for my stuff upfront I was'nt an irresponsible kid and did not drink and have stayed single and had a great job building your AV8BI II Harriers, F-15 A-E Eagles, F/A 18 A-F Hornets and the T-45 Goshawk ....Fighters, Attack Aircraft and Trainers to keep us free and proud of it. So if you guys dont need to dis me I won't be such a hermit....but can you see why?
