Who all has recieved The DPT coilovers from the GP?

I paid the remaining balance over three weeks ago with the understanding my suspension kit would be shipped the following day or two.I am beiginning to get very concerned because I do not have my kit and DPT number has been temporarily disconnected. I called last week and Al told me he would check into for me ,but I haven't heard back from him and the same holds true for the emails I have sent. Is it just me that hasn't got there kit or is anybody else still waiting. I am by no means wanting to discredit anybody here I just want some answers.

Depends who you know, some folks already have them on their trucks running on 'em.
I heard some folks got part of their kits and are still waiting on other parts.

I myself was not part of the GP but have been waiting since the nationals in July for 2 steering stops and 2 spanner wrenches.
It was shipped at least twice that I was told but I still have no product and no tracking number.

You are correct, the phone has been disconnected.
My last 5-6 emails have gone ignored as well, so I dont know what the status of my order is either.

If anyone could measure their steering stops I'd appreciate it.
Looks like I may just have to get someone to make me something to keep my powdercoating from getting damaged any worse.
Also, if anyone knows where to get the "Tru-Choice" spanner wrenches to adjust the coilover locking rings I'd appreciate that too.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Lemme know what you find out. Maybe someone who knows Al can tell us what's up. Who listed this GP anyway??

Hmmmm, steering stops, i did not get those or the spanner wrenches, made my own wrench, where to the steering stops go, what is hitting causing your powder coat to ruin?

Holy s**t! Just a few days ago I got an e-mail from Al requesting the remainder of the $ and saying my kit was boxed and ready to ship. He mentioned difficulty getting ahold of me at the phone # I gave him in the beginning, even though my tel # hasn't changed and there's no entries on my caller ID from him. I'd replied that I wanted to wait till Fri., the 25th so I could pay cash over the phone w/my atm check card.
Now his phone's disconnected??!!?
If I can get a hold of him I'll offer to either send a post dated check and upon reciept of a valid shipping tracking # I can pay instead with my card, or if I don't hear anything nearing the date the check would clear, I can cancel it before it's valid.
Except banks don't always look at the dates, and that's out on a limb.
I understand my rights as a consumer and a few months ago brought the matter to my atty.'s attention(incase this gets real bad).
Still, I do not feel good about sending any money before the kit is here or at least verified via tracking #. I know a few other ppl on the GP, e-mail me and we'll talk.
No ill will towards Al or his shop, and I'm still excited about getting such a great addition to my Sy, I just don't want to be taken for the full amount.
We'll see.

The newer kits had the steering stops welded to the lower control arm.
The older kits had a seperate steering stop that bolted to the frontward sway bar bolt.
It was shaped like a square "U".

I recieved my kit last week sometime, but I'm still waiting on some heim joints. Haven't been able to get a hold of Al laltely either. Maybe if I put a big banner up in my sig like BG I will get them quick??

I'm not sure it helped me either, I'm still missing some parts, just now realized it. Not sure if I'll be able to get a hold of Al to let him know now. Still haven't seen any instructions for the rear.

Al, if you're following this thread please contact me within the next 24 hours. If I don't get some solid answers I'm going to have to start discussing this matter with my lawyer and my credit card company's fraud division. This is no way to do business!!!

You're missing the point Erik. The line was "temporarily disconnected" yesterday - I can tell you that this is true from firsthand knowledge. The delivery date for the equipment is long past due. Sure, we've all heard about the "problems getting the heim joints" but c'mon, for months? Dennis uses heim joints on his race cars all the time and he has not had any problems at all with his suppliers.

Even more telling is the fact that Al has, at best, misled us. I was told, and apparantly so were others, that the orders were "ready to ship" and "going out today or tomorrow". This was on 9/19 - well over a month ago. My credit card has been charged for the full amount since then - actually at least $50 more than agreed upon. And some people who actually have gotten in touch with Al since then were told that the items had shipped, but he couldn't give any shipper information or tracking numbers.

This is bullshit and members of this BB have significant amounts of money on the line. It's not too late for Al to come through but at this point all I have is heartburn and a bad taste in my mouth.

So Erik, you can dispense with the smiley faces and cutesy cliches in this thread. The people who are concerned about their $$ are NOT AMUSED.

Al, I want my parts or a refund NOW.

I would like to think that I have given him the benefit of the doubt. Its been 8 months since I put down a $700 deposit and almost a month since I coughed up another $960 dollers.

I cant believe Al is still in buisness, what other company could have this kind of customer service and make it. I waited for 6 months for my kit only to be missing bushings so i waited another 4 weeks for the next day air package of bushings. I thought i was the only one at the time having a problem, but then i read more and more about delays with als parts. I hope you guys all get your stuff soon.

Very sorry all for the delay in getting back to you. I have been in the hospital the past few days having eye surgery. If you don't beleive that is fine I can scan the doctor bills. I will be back into the office tomorrow and will call everyone back. Jermey, I did call you and talked to your father or some male there and he said he would leave a message, I talked to him twice. Everything will be getting shipped out tomorrow.

Hey Jack, you also forget to mention the prompt shippment of your brake kits that I got out for you on time. If you have a problem with me or my buisness please call me. I have emailed you several times to get that brake bracket back from you but you have not answered one of them. I could come on here and talk about a certain shippment you were supposed to have shipped to a list memeber on here and kept saying it was shipped but it was not. When he did finally get the shippment it was nothing that you said it was. So please do not come on here and bash me, again if you have a problem call or come see me, I am very easy to get a hold of when I am not in the hospital. I do need that bracket back or I will have to bill you for it. As for the rest of you, I have had great troubles with certain suppliers and I appologize but things are finally starting to fall into place. All I care about is getting what I payed for and then I will be happy and go about my business. I have been screwed in the past and I lost over a grand and it could of been alot worse.
