I want to put some chrome valve covers on my ty when I get it rebuilt this month. Where can I get the best deal for some. Or will it be better to just find some where to chrome the stock ones?

THANKS

You might want to check these out. This is about the best looking valve cover you can strap on your V6. If you were to polish them, they look even better. This month they are on sale for $265.

* pictured is the brodix style, but I have them in stock for stock, l35, vortec heads with centerbolts.

It seems the valve covers fit with the stock alterator cases, but need modification with the larger powermaster style alternators. Our mockup had the stock alternator, so I never considered what a larger/depper alternator would do.

In the future I will have to ask customers what alternator they are running. Your imput is much appreciated.. thank you and happy new year..

Are the covers for the L35's different from the stock heads? Hadn't thought of that.

We have done several things, but mainly leave it up to the customer. SOme people run braided line with catch cans, others use a rubber grommet with a pcv valve. Due to the different intercoolers, piping, and header options available it would be too difficult to offer versions for each setup. Therfore we offer the base valve cover at a reasonable price and the customer can choose to save the money by doing the rest on their own or having us do it. This way it is tailored best to your engine compartment.

The most common is drilling a hole on the top of the cover with a unibit, then installing a rubber grommet with pcv valve.

Hope that answered your questions.

and yes the l35s are the same as the stock heads as far as valve covers are conserned.

I'm using Edelbrock elite alu valve covers. I like them, but you could have clearence problems if you use larger roller rockers.
