around 500hp you may want to look into a dual intank setup like some are mentioning or a big external pump .

might want to consider improvements if you plan e85

whats the hubbub with the e85 anyway ?

Re: when to go to aftermarket fuel system

some are starting to use it because compared to gas it has a really high motor octane. but it also requires more fuel to achieve the correct a/f ratio. i had a friend with a low 11 sec mustang that just put some e85 in to see what it would do and ran a low 10 blowing the head gasket about 3/4 down the track.

Yeah I understand that but the tunning nightmares dont seem to outweigh the benefits . Summer and winter e85 isnt the same and the tune will suffer .You would have to be constantly changing the tune , more so if you do any kind of daily driving. Redoing the entire fuel system from the pump to the lines to the injectors so it doesnt corrode seems like alot of wasted effort for a small time hobby .

Erue had some good threads about the subject and what i saw didnt convince me its a better alternative for the syty , but again thats just merely my opinion . Dont let me discourage you or anyone else , I just like to prod for more info since this technology is still unrefined and Im just trying to get a better grasp on the subject . Having fun is all that matters . Enjoy ..

The single Walbro is "rated" at 600 HP and reported in other car forums to handle up to 700 HP (the High Pressure model) in some turbo cars..

A Syclone faster than 11.0 would be at risk of nearing the limit of the single Walbro.

So does regular gas... people don't realize their tune should change too.

Throw in the differences in regional gas, and you're really all over the map.

This is why running race gas when racing is a good idea... the better brands of race fuel don't change formulation.

That i did not know  . How much does it change exactly , and what crap do they put in it when they switch up the mixture ? Yes race gas for my Sy is going to be a must now . Maybe i just dont pay attention (been told that before), but i have honestly never heard of that before today .
Thanks for the info .

I laugh everytime i see a commercial for flex fuel cars here in florida. Unless you can get into macdill , you have to go to tallahassee to get it last time I checked .

Yeah, for all the talk you hear about Charlie Crist being a "green" govenor you'd think he'd be all over e85. Nope.
