for the propshaft have to be removed? If not then how the hell do you get it past the mounting bracket for the bttom brace or did you just bend it out of the way????????? If you removed it can you recall bolt size, special tools?

Okie I'll try and explain, hope I can help


You don't have to bend the bracket, but it does help, just make sure you don't crack it :wink:

It helps to move the steering all the way to the left, gets the pitman arm outta the way,

Its even better if you pop the center link off of the pitman and idler and move it forward

The biggest thing is to support the truck by the control arms in the front, that spreads them apart and makes the hole slightly bigger to drop the diff through.

You need to drop the right side first. then pull it rearward to get the top mount to rotate past the front frame crossmember. It will kinda drop out then.

Be patient, you just have to hold your tounge the right way and it will magicly fall out. Take carefull note of how you moved it to pull it out because gravity will be working against you to get it back in.

As far as wrench sizes go you will need a 15mm socket for the half shaft bolts. The diff mounts are 18mm bolts and 21 mm nuts.
