When cold, my Ty feels like it's catching something with wheels turned

Title says it all, when I hop in the Ty in the morning and back out of my driveway with the wheels turned, it almost feels like something is "catching" up front. Similar to brakes grabbing, but I'm not convinced they are causing it. Once I back out and drive a block to turn onto another road, it's totally gone for the remainder of the ride. Any thoughts?

Maybe an Axle shaft is going out... Try doing the same radius turn in a parking lot after driving the truck a little.

So far, that is the case however I have not tested that extensively. I will try going forward and turning after work today and see if it does the same thing (although I don't think it will). This just started happening a few days ago.

I suppose it's possible one of the calipers is sticking a bit?

If it is your VC, I would go ahead and replace both shafts. When the vc goes bad it starts to wear the shafts down.

x3 on viscous..mine did that until i replaced it...once i got it out..there was a lot more damage. i ended up replacing the whole transfer case... real easy to do...well for me it was.

Hmm, my Ty only has 33k "unbeaten" miles on it...I drive it like an old lady. If I replace the half shafts, it still won't fix the VC correct? I would have to swap transfer cases?

When I bought the last Syclone an old lady had. I did slow circles at my shop and it would sort of bind. Click, etc. Not bad. Had front shaft rebuilt. Went away for the most part. Drove about ten different Syclones of other owners over the years. Many with less than 10,000 miles and not one had the same drivetrain feel or noise. Not one. None of my four Syclones either in addition.
Sometimes I can cold start, put it in gear and go straight and make it about ten feet and hear this hydraulic noise from the trans or tcase area and it goes away. Strange. Two of my current trucks will do that.

Is this the mechanics chat ? I got one I've never hear of before. Turned the air cond. on today and "steam" came out the front vents. It really wasn't steam, looked like it, air was cold, like people's breath when it's 10 degrees out side. Any Ideas out there?

Could it have anything to do with the fact that the actual weather is getting colder up here in northern mn? This never happened during the summer, only started happening this fall.
