Wheel size question

I'm looking to get a new set of wheels for my 92 Ty. Does anybody know the correct offset and bolt pattern? I'd like to run a set of 18" wheels.

ohh BTW: your truck will be slow as shit with 22's on if you can get them to fit. the last thing you want is more rotating mass...

you can run almost any size wheel within reason just try to keep the tire diameter around 26-27"

25.5" is stock

I have 26.1 inchers now, they get me through the traps in 3rd, IMO a 27" tire would be perfect for a Sy running 12.0's @ 110

Great thanks! that gives me a start. I'm just trying to get the offest figure. I'm unsure if a set of wheels that would fit say a regular S-10 would work.

Ok, I think I'm going to go with the ZR-1 wheels. What offset should I get(front and rear) to run the 17x9.5 and 17x11. Also will i have any trouble with rubbing? My Ty is stock in the front and has 2" blocks in the rear.

17x9.5 needs a 56mm offset..17x11 needs a 50mm offset.i think the fronts will rub.you can solve that by doin this http://syty.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=9325&forum=2

Thanks so much for clear up the headache for me. Now I'm off to place my order. Oh what size tires did you use?

I just got done doing what "V" suggested as a alternative to the "Rat Biting" which was funny, for the A-arm. Just drilled, tapped and screwed in a large bolt on the stops to prevent the the front 17x9.5 ZR1's from rubbing when turning. The steering radius is alittle wider but I could live with it and is a much cleaner mod.I put a large washer behind each bolt and tightened down until I got the right clearance I needed.Tried different thicknesses of washers until it was just right. Still need to get some tires for those bad boys now.
Also bought a couple of heavy duty hacksaw blades for the spindle stubs which dulled in a couple of minutes. Got to find some better blades.
