I am looking into a group purchase for getting wheels refinished. The company is Wheel Collision in Bath PA. This poll is to find out who is interested so that we can get a price. We do not know the price (at least not yet) since we don't have a count. Nick (NJ93TY) called them, and they said that they could do a discount on the re-finishing but not on straightening. So please respond with how many sets you would like re-finished.

Back in 1996 i had the WHEEL COLLISION ctr repair a sy rim for me they did an awsome job. they straightened it polished it and clear coated it looked better than new :tup:

Thanks to NJ93TY for running this down. The pricing is as follows:

$172ea wheel (to repair and refinish) $10 for center caps each
Thats $728 for a set to be straightened and refinished with caps.

If we get 10 sets, it would be

$152ea wheel (to repair and refinish) $10 for each center cap
Thats $648 for a set to be straightened and refinished with caps.

what if they just need to be refinished not repaired?

Thats a really good deal cuz back in 1996 i paid $174.75 and didnot have centercap done and that included return shipping for me. i paid delivery shipping and that was $27.98 back then but like i said they did an awsome job.

I have now owned about 6 sets of these wheels. I have three sets in my garage currently. Of all of them, I think I have 1 that appears not to be bent. Not saying they don't exist, but these are some very soft wheels.

bump. If anyone outside of NASTE territory is interested in this deal, I am willing to be the intermediary for shipping if that is necessary. I know it jacks up the price, but this company is one of the better companies for refinishing wheels.

Just noticed this post.
I used Wheel Collision years ago for my wheels with good results.
I am hard to please and they did.
I had some curb rash and dents they fixed them right up. Nice job.

I have 2 sets of center caps that need to be redone, and if the price was right, a really beat set of wheels to re-do.

I'd be a bit concerned that shipping on a full set of wheels would make coming up with a good price tough...

I am planning to come to homecoming. I could bring the wheels with me if they are done in time. My zip is 19038. The pricing is above.

I had my rims/center caps -all 4 done. they did everything all at once and mounted tires I purchased thru them and balanced. (no weights on rims somehow they balanced them and needed no weights because I purchased the tires thru them). I took them there in person and picked them up when they were done. Good result. It was expensive. I know my price for the repairs were way more than this group purchase price (GP is a deal).

When I had mine done they looked at each wheel (cosmetics) and put them on a machine to see how out they were and rated them on a scale from 1-5 for damage. They then based my estimate on that basis. The way the pricing on this GP looks like a deal to me.

Really I cannot believe that Jeff is taking this on I can only imagine the logistics especially with shipping involved.

lol they dont fit with my baer brakes but i have 3 or 4 sets i would not mind getting done and selling. cash is short after breaking my rear in the gn. when is this going to happen so i know if i can come up with cash for a set or 2 at least

I am thinking within the next 30 days. Gotta spend money to make money.
