What's this worth?

Re: What's this worth?

right now it looks like it's worth $6100.00 . It's a auction toss in a bid for what you think it's worth. that's how auctions go.

Re: What's this worth?

Its hard to judge these truck by pictures, because mechanical condition can vary greatly. (Picture can be deceiving as well) If was a good running truck, no rust, I would guess around10K would be a fair price.

Re: What's this worth?

It obviously has not been cared for. That cladding looks like pooh and the interior is probably scorched as well, since the mirrors look faded. Where's the Syclone emblem for the tailgate and pics of the drivers side? Any wrecks or repaint work (since the windshield sticker is NOT OEM and the front bumper is mis-aligned). How about fluid leaks and rust underneath since the truck is in the salt bed area? Kinda risky if you ask me BUT contact the seller if you are interested. KBB and NADA are a price guide only.....but I wouldn't go over $7,500 if I were a bidding man!

One more thing......that grill is NOT the correct color for that truck and the front bumper doesn't match the rest of the truck cladding ????? Kinda suspect to me.

Re: What's this worth?

Sounds like you've got your answer on that Sy.... :hijack: I'm about to put one of my trucks up for sale (got two now)....Syclone #0895. Pic is before I alligned my front bumper properly.

Anybody wanna chime in and tell me what I should start my asking price at? This syclone runs great, no leaks, only has reliability mods, new brakes, and is 62k miles old. Rims are 18' hammans with brand new tires (approx 2k miles) and stock wheels are included. Everything works ie accessories, lights, speedo, ect.

I'll get better pics up when I post it f/s including more details. Thanks guys.

I'd suspect rust, just judging from the given location... Big snow country.
Lotsa fade there, interior and exterior. My guess is $7k will stop it.

There are much better examples for similar $ in the classifieds.

Now see, this is the kind of representation the Syclone world needs. Beautiful example of a well cared for truck IMO.....umm, does the A/C work fine (grin)? How many owners? Do you have all the historical documentation? Clean title or Salvage? Ever been repainted (I notice the grill has been at some point)? Any rust issues (past or present)?

If it were my truck, I'd start it out at $7,500 and set the reserve between $10-12,000 depending on how bad you want rid of it. Given the current market, I would guess it would end for somewhere between $11 - 13,000 . No doubt worth more since it looks fabulous, but buyers are quickly becoming tight wads (if not already in that position) and if any of your answers are iffy to the above questions, the needle on the final price pole drops lower. Just the way it is to most buyers.....

Re: What's this worth?

No rust, AC works, Clean title, stock paint, just passed CA emissions, don't know what the deal is w/ the grill but I removed both the grill and bumper (four bolts) as I suspected an accident too. No sign or evidence of any mishaps though...nothing reported to carfax. Everything looks straight. As for historical docs...I've got all mine since ownership but the previous owner had none, he just let me get it inspected. Guys that checked it out said, "this truck should last a lonnng time". :)

Interested? Please pm me. thx. I'll get this to the classifieds w/ all the info I hope by the end of this week plus a lot more pics.

The grill might be faded quite a bit...., but still is fishy with that front bumper cladding.

I was referring to the painted areas around the headlights and the painted center area....that is not factory.

Re: What's this worth?

HERE'S WHY IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO ASK....and makes me wonder what else is NOT disclosed??

I see the bumper is not aligned AND doesn't match the rest of the cladding in color, the grill is definately not the original paint color and the windshied banner is not the OEM design....can you give an explanation, since you are the original owner according to your description? Thanks.

RESPONSE: About 10 years ago a lady pulled out of a parking spot at a gas station and hit me. The bumper and grill was replaced by a local body shop...They couldn't seem to match the black paint on the plastic coated parts. Although the picture angle almost makes them look gray (but they're not) I'd be happy to send you different pictures at a better angle.
The window banner is a GMC sticker that they sent me about a year after I bought the truck. The windshield was replaced years ago from a rock that was kicked up by a passing vehicle. GMC no longer could get me another sticker. So a sign shop have one made for me. (it's exactly the same as the original).

Re: What's this worth?

you would think he would post up that question and answer in the e-bay listing. I don't think he's going to get more the 7-8 grand for it.

Well, I somewhat agree. He really should have disclosed that from the get-go.
