Its a 91 sy with 185k. Guy says he has a rebuilt tranny and a whole lotta new parts, he's also the original owner.

Pics? VIN? Wrecked or not? Hope it got rebuilt right w/the right valve body?

he says amco built it (porbably junk) no pics yet, all the cladding is excelent, paint is ok, has had driver door damage many years ago. I could buy it for 7000.

Sounds like a fair price but it would be cool if someone on here was in your area to help you out and give you their :2cents: Need the buyers checklist but I can't find it right now but maybe someone can beat me to it.... :tup:

Well I just came back from buying the sy. It is in very good shape, guy even gave me the original window sticker, and a list of all the recent work he had done. I only paid 5000. I think I got a smokin deal.

In that case welcome :tup: You'll have work ahead of you but w/o that, it wouldn't be any fun :lol: BTW... Is your shift from first to second VERY firm?

thatks, it was close by 40 mins away. truck is beutiful I love it.

I'm in wooodland hills.

The guy I bought it from lived in hawaii for a while, he originaly purchased the car in LA (fullerton).

How much longer do you guys think this motor will last. He says it had synthetic in all the time, oil changes at 3k.

I think someone was just talking about a 400K mile Sy that just smoked the original engine. I know people who have rebuilt them much earlier than that.

If you take care of it. Keep knock to a minimum - you'll get another week out of it ;) Or you could get lucky and get another 200K.

Sounds like a great price for that truck. Still don't know why they seem to be worth more apart than together....:roll:

Hey your close by me (30 min). cool not to many Syclones out here. Will you take it to the socal syty meet in May? I wouldn't mind taking a look at it.
