What's the 8 cyl equivalent of the L35 head?

i think the stock 289/305/350/396/427/454ci heads flow way better on the newer vortec motors when try to compare stock LB4 heads to L35. its a different animal.

i'm not buying/selling/installing/building anything..just curious as which v8 heads had the equivalent combustion chamber...valve size...etc as the L35s.

i would say any heads off of a newer OBDII 96+ would be what youre asking.

I think they're the GM fast burn iron cylinder heads that you see every magazine using when they want a good off the shelf iron head.

I think they are close to the Iron head used in 88-92 F-bodies (I am not 100% sure on the f-body years, but it was the later iron L98 heads). The F-bodies are also similliar to the the 86-87 Corvette Aluminum heads, but with larger combustion chambers & EGR passages. I have had the Vette & L35 heads in my Hands but not next to each other at the same time. The 96 up SBC Truck heads are basically the same structure as the L31 Vortec V6 Heads.
