Hey guys I want to get and Idea of what you guys think my truck will run with the following mods. Stock heads and block, PTE60 at 22lbs (unless you guys have a better suggestion), DYI A2A, egr block off, 50lb injectors, KB Headers jet hot coated, 3"dp, Ext wg, 3000 stall TC, Battle Bars, Fender well ABS and AC complete delete, methanol injection, electronic boost contoller (suggestions on brand appreciated), WB 02. With this set up, what will it take to get to High 11s?

I have no idea who that person is so have a hard time knowing.

Without a proper tune 14's, with a proper tune low 12's.

Awe, ok gotcha. He will honestly probably get you headed in the right direction. Now keep in mind no 1 tuner will ever be a "master". Heck I asked dobrick the other day to come over and dial in my electric fan stuff on my chip since he has done it enough times it will save me some time and be right.

But seeing tuning on the list is a very good step in the right direction.

At your altitude, that's a pressure ratio of about 2.8. That's on the outer limits of that turbo.
Might want to look into something larger. Maybe a BB, would launch a bit harder.
A 63, or a 35R, or BB67GTQ.

I guess I'd save the money on a boost controller and put it towards a bigger/better turbo.
Any tune you do is going to be for the boost level you're running at... messing with boost on an otherwise well-tuned setup just boogers things up.

Pick a street boost, and live with it. Pick a race boost, and live with it. The idea that you can change levels whenever and have good things come from that doesn't pan out in the real world. The only reason I can fathom to spend big $$ on a boost controller is if you're trying to stage power for traction purposes. At your performance level, you're not.

I don't like the 50# injectors, but they can be made to work. You'll fight repeatability issues.

You'll need some sticky tires- MT drag radials or something similar.

And lots of tuning. Days of it. Maybe more.

Re: What will it run?

I have thought alot about this and figured that I would like to buy a turbo that can take me to high 10s. So that when the motor pops I can build it along with a 4l80e. What are the recomendations for turbo sizes? Will a pt67 get to high tens? Is the ball bearing set up worth the extra $300?

Re: What will it run?

I feel very confident tuning your truck if you do end up wanting me to do it. One reason my tune gets jacked up so much is because Ill spend a few days tuning, then the wife gets in my way and I dont get to touch for a couple months and forget what the hell I was doing. But like I told you before, if you leave your truck here for about a week or so I could get it pretty damn close. Another thing is that I have tried many different methods so to speak of tuning and experimented with what does what. Im pretty sure I can get your truck to perform at a very good portion of its potential.

For EBC, Ild use the greddy Profec. Its great. I use it all the time , have two settings and have never had any issues with it what so ever. Kinda pricey though.

You've got additional issues with the altitude... you're going to need to need much more motor than you have right now to see 10s.

Get the turbo you need for right now. When you want to go faster later, sell it and get a different one.
