What under the dash causes blinkers to not work

My blinker will blink once or twice then it will quit. Either side, it does the same. I bought a new flasher last time it happened and it was a waste of money. Same problem. So I did what any red blooded redneck would do and pounded on the underside of the dash. Now they work fine. What is up.

I noticed when it would flash one time, when i moved the lever back up to its natural position it made a weird buz sound from around the bottom of the steering column, under the dash. Is there any "common" problem that I can check right off the bat?

Never ending issues, syty for life!

I ahd a similar problem on my ty one side wouldnt work. There is a connector I believe whit has multiple wires in it and is flat push it together and use a zip tie to keep it together, that is what I did and it worked for me . hth

Is there 2 relays, one for the blinkers and one for the hazards? Maybe the one you didnt replace is shot.

You could be low on blinker fluid too...

I am fine on blinker fluid. Hazzards work great. It is in the turnsignal. It will blink twice and quit. It works now, redneckway works for now.

Check all the wiring in the steering column. There should be a white connector right at the base of it near the dashboard that goes up the column to the turn signal lever. Make sure there's nothing hosed up in there.
