UR's are for stock heads TR's are for vortec heads.

5's are hotter than a stock plug I would not run them you would be better off moving to a 6.

Would there be any advantage going to a "racing" plug, so you could go even colder like a 7 heat range? Or would it be to prone to fouling?

It's just a six

You would not see any advantage running a colder plug ,unless you are getting detonation from your hotter plugs.

Switching to a fine center electrode will work better than a standard thick/big center electrode.
