What kind of driving are you doing? If it's all city (stop and go), I'd be satistfied with 15. If it's highway, you might need a tune.

same type i'm doing when i borrow my moms v6 jeep and get 14mpg.. and i get there a lot slower.

i'd say its 60% highway 40% city and maybe 20% of that i would consider 'spirited'

I'm getting about the same mileage, 14-17 mpg, around town. I keep telling myself it'll go up once I get used to the Ty and stop spooling up everywhere I go, but I just can't keep from boosting just to hear it. Guess the truck's close to normal, then.

That does not sound bad for running low 11s at the strip. As you can see in my sig, I love good old Geos for DDs. I filled the tank yesterday, 37 bucks. The 9.5 gallons should get me over 320 miles. I beat the living hell out of it to, I have to beat it to get to the speed limit :rotf: Sorry to be a little off topic. If my Sy was inspected right now, I would see what she gets to.

Ive been getting 17mpg with 60# injectors and running code59, This is mostly highway, but the highway I travel on always has traffic so you tend to slow down and speed up alot.

I put in about 6 gallons a lil bit ago to top it off and when looking at the trip odometer I figure I was getting about 14mpg, but that's with more city than non-stop driving and it smells like the Ty is running rich anyway.

I would also concur that your getting pretty decent mileage for an 11sec Ty.

Re: what kind of mileage ya'll getting

Hey Guys, Im new here but wanted to ask a question or two. There seems to be alot of info out there, you seem very knowledgeable. I live in los angeles but bought the ty in ohio. Here is the problem, my brother is driving it back and it is averaging 10 miles a gallon. do you know of any place in los angeles that I can take it to once it gets here or what the problem might be?
thanks

Re: what kind of mileage ya'll getting

When I bought mine, I had a 700 mile road trip back home and I averaged 21 going 70. Highway only. I usually get about 17.5 going 50/50 with spirited driving as well

Re: what kind of mileage ya'll getting

thank you sir for that. My bro is going to stop in oklahoma city and I am almost wanting to find a place in or around that area that can work on it. I mean they say they are stopping every 160 miles to fill up and This is going to be getting really expensive. I dont know what to do, I dont want someone to F*ck it up out there that I dont know....
here it is at a gas station an hour ago, I am so excited to get it here

You are probably in dire need for a tune up! Bad plugs/wires/cap/button. Dirty air filter. You know, normal tuneup items can really zap fuel mileage if left unattended. I would start off with that before going off the deep end and paying a load of money for a professional.

Re: what kind of mileage ya'll getting

After reading this post, I have to laugh LOL !!! Everyone here is worried about MPG, and yet don't know how lucky you really are. Here in Alice Springs Australia we pay over AU$1.72 pr litre for premium fuel, which per tank (US$37 full tank, 20 gallons) equates to about AU$258 to fill the tank. If I could get 400 miles out of it, is still very expensive...
Please enjoy your cheap fuel while you can. I live in a small town where 10 minutes to work is being stuck at every traffic light, and I still feel the punch. But wouldn't trade it for the world...Luv the Syclone...
