What is this?

While looking around the engine bay i nocticed this black pin looking thing right in front of the oil cooler. It has a black hose connected to it. I followed it and apparantly mine goes nowhere. What is it? I also noticed on the drivers side of the block a electrical plug. The plug is located between the middle and last spark plug closest to the firewall. It has one wire in this plug. What is this? Mine does not want to stay plugged in.

That is the liquid temp sensor to the gauge on your dash... Personally I thought something was wrong with mine too as I notice only one wire coming out of the sensor and the other taped off... I guess only one wire is used..

o gotcha. I think my clip is broken. Is there a part number for gmpartsdirect for it? Do you know what that other item is that i am speaking of?

Are :lol: you talking about the vent for the front diff? sounds like it. it is supposed to be attached to a clip that is mounted right in front of the remote filter. it used the same style clip as the wire looms.

Yea that's it! Is it bad that it's not hooked up? Where does it go on the differential? Actually where is the differential? I see another line that looks like it's been cut. Maybe they go together?
