WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM?!?

I cannot belive that i ask question's and instead of getting answers i get bitched at. Let me say this. I belong to a waverunner forum. I have been a member there since 99. When i first got my ski i only new how to put gas in it. Now after learning through the forum and asked thousands of questions i am looked upon for answers. I have learned so much that i was actually able to build my stroker engine from the ground up. That may not sound like allot to some of you but i think it's an acomplishment. Also to this day the same questions are asked 50 million times and you know something NO ONE bitches! We do include in our response that the topic has been covered but we never poke at people and critisize them. I love helping people who have questions because thats more person who will know the answer the next time the question is asked. It seems here that only certain people really know the answers to questions and they are tired of answering them. I am not trying to start anything but c'mon what is this forum here for? Everyone is trying to learn and no one is here to aggrevate or bother anyone with repetitive questions. Yea some of my questions are dumb but i am still learning. I cannot belive everything i have been taught so far in last few months. Lets perhaps try to help people in some way other than saying yea your truck is broken, fix it, run dm on it. For example i was told to run dm. I did. No one has looked at my dm file and i am not really too sure what i am looking for on it. The Ty is still not running right and never will because of the lack of help. When we post on the waverunner forum a 100 people help out. For everyone who has helped me, thank you. I appreciate the help and support. O and if you don't like me or what i post than maybe we were not meant to be friends....that's cool.

The people that have followed your threads, if they see what I have, probably have noticed that we would tell you something and then you would say something along the lines of "my mechanic has it. He will fix it." I don't know if it is an unwritten rule or what but a mechanic that has been fixing cars for 20 years isn't gonna take any input and you probably noticed that after the guy disconnected your TV cable and fried your tranny. We told you that was bad. There was nothing we could do and it didn't matter what we told you because the answer was, my mechanic has it, he will fix it....His buddy does trannies and it is his problem.....we told you it is your truck....to just let someone destroy a ride because they have some obligation to work on it is crazy....if they can't fix it, they need to tell you so, and let you go on

Seriously, you need to find someone to hang out with that likes working on cars and likes learning at the same time. That way they can apply their knowledge to your truck. An odd truck indeed. Syty can be a nightmare if you have no clue.

I an trying to learn. I think i am doing ok for only owning her for a few months. Allot of stuff was missing when i bought it that i did not know about. I think that's one reason why it has been so tuff. I have friends that work on cars but they are ricers. My friends rides are supra's, vr4's, rx7's and honda's. That's all they know about. They have tried to help me but really only know about their particular car. O also i am trying to find a syty owner here. I have found a bunch but they are not into them. They have no idea about anything on them. Pretty much they just collect them and that's it. I go to the car show every week looking for anyone. I found a guy last night who had a ty and had no interest in even talking about his car.

Bottom line, I help people who help themselves and put out some effort. People who learn, who do their homework.

You've been here for months, and still ask questions that have been covered, seem to pick up nothing.

Look at a Datamaster run - we've covered the data to look for in a Datamaster run way too many times. Have you bothered to read those posts? It seems you choose to bitch that someone hasn't held your hand all the way through this, explained every little morsel in detail.

There isn't enough hours in a day. If someone has to explain to you the grounds aren't under the valve covers... where do we start? The mechanics that are a gasoline combustion engine? I don't know about anyone else on the board, but I don't get paid to post.

That must have been the "insult them so they have to prove they know about these trucks" statement. Nicely done. You're right. Leave this site and find one that works, and supports a SMALL niche of owners, say like camaroz28.com or something, oh wait there's 95 bazillion of those. Or get your answers from ATR, or KB, or 92 black typhoon's mechanic.

If no one's answered your question "correctly", then try the "Search" option or ask it again.

But since you believe that most don't know what they are talking about here, maybe you should go ask your local GMC dealer. I think that would suit your fancy.

I know that the wire was not located physically under that valve cover. I am sorry for the poor description. It is located at a bit lower than the passanger side rocker cover. Hows that.

i have to admit, brian you do have some attitude. but if people dont like it then get the fuck out of here. he is the reason that most syty's can get quick without going dfi/fast. he is allowing us to push the limit of the stck ecu. this is by far the best forum out there imho. dsmtalk.com sucks becuase 99% is rice and bullshitting. camaroz287.com is more bs aswell.

I've read your posts. You really don't seem to ever absorb any information. You ask questions and get answers, but for some reason they don't satisfy you. Or you can't understand the answer. Then you ask more questions on top of those questions.

Thank you for putting that so simply, unfortunately, people don't listen to that advice. They want the easy way out. Go to a hardcore tech board and post stupid questions ... see what kind of respones you get. More than likely it will be "this has been covered, read/search the archives and buy a manual" if it is your first offense.

Calling someone "stupid" or a "dick" is not gonna endear you to people that you are requesting help from. If you have Opie's CD Rom, sit down and do some reading. It takes years to get to know these trucks and even then you can still learn stuff but you have to apply yourself.
Don't get in the habit of burning bridges. These guys are really cool, but if your a dick to them, it doesn't matter what kind of people they are :wink:

Its true guys i thought we were here to help out, i thought we were all a big family. Sometimes when i post here i feel lke a fool cause i dont have a Sy or Ty but i want a typhoon and im going to get one in november, i have some of you guys on my buddy list like GAShanock and twin turbo mike and so on and so on, these guys are nice but sometimes i guess i bother them but im glad that the dont tell me off. Ive posted here a couple of times but im probally on this site more than anyone this is like the reason i have a computer. Sometimes i just wanna write back to most of the stuff but i get scared that most of you will just diss me so its ok and i just read and so on. I just hope that when november comes around that many of you will help me answer many of my questions and those near miami can help me work on the car being that im only 17 right now and still in high school. Gary is the freakin MAN! Im so glad I got to meet him when I was down in Florida since he didnt get up to the Nats. I can never thank him enough for letting me use his floor jack, taking me for a ride in his truck, and also giving me a JL Syclone I didnt have. You my friend are awesome

last week i asked a question that i knew DAMN well if i searched around i could find the answer. but i was pissed off at the truck and all so i just asked the question and did a little venting at the same time. no one flamed me (even though i thought id get totally burned). heh thanks guys. i dont know about alot of the new owners but i have learned SO MUCH from this board, even with the occasional stupid question. sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and if someone helps then great and if they yell at you because you were lazy and did no search and its something people ask all the time, then suck it up and move on. i knew from day ONE that the people on this board tend to fight a little bit and love it or hate it it seems to just go with the territory

just my newbie oppinion
