Is the correct sticker color the black/grey? What about on a red/red truck?

I believe the simple answer is:
1992 = Silver
1993 = Gold
Regardless of truck color. Anything outside of those is aftermarket.
Locations/placement:
Tailgate:
Left of box: 1" from the side of the tailgate
Top of box: 5 1/4" high from the bottom of the tailgate (NOTE: that is with keeping the tape measure completely touching the metal on the "lip" at the bottom of the tailgage - if that makes sense)
Bottom of box: 2 3/4" high from bottom of tailgate (Same as above with the lip at the bottom of the tailgate
Left door: From front edge of cladding to the left edge of the letter T = 5 1/2"
From top edge of cladding to the letters- TYPHOON = 1/2"
Right door: From front edge of cladding to the letter N = 5 1/2" From top edge of cladding to the letters - TYPHOON = 1/2"
GMC TRUCK: The K should be 1 3/4" from the right edge of the tailgate
"GMC TRUCK" should be 1 3/4" above the bottom edge of the tailgate."

92 Ty tailgate stickers are jacked the **** up stupid. If you see some that look all ****ed up,they are probably correct.

so which is it? ~4.5 or ~5. And how long is ~. Where are you getting/remembering this info from - from measuring known factory located decals...or is it in a manual somewhere?

those pics show the original exact 92 placement per factory like said by Dave p
the original stickers in the photos were last made in 1997 ,and although oem correct ,Dave p is right again the backing measurements were for a 93 truck and didnt line up over what was on the tailgate.
so use the "indented" Dave p measurements for a 92 correct placement like i did.
