What is a safe boost level to set a stock "internals" Ty at?

Really only 15lbs. That sucks. I have mods on it. But i guess to run higher boost i need better internals? I was hoping i could run like 18lbs. o and i have datamaster.

on 103 octane you shouldnt have any trouble running 18 psi as long as your not running a stock chip. stock chip=15 psi,no more. ultimate chip , i would say look at datamaster while you increase boost and see what happens,but like BG said, dont even think of more than 15 on pump gas.

You need to see if you detonate. My guess is that you will see knock retard at higher boost levels. Knock retard = detonation = kaboom. 15psi is about the norm on a good running Syty, past that, think about alcohol injection, or higher octane race gas.
I would have to reccomend 0 PSI, anything more and you will blow your motor, like me!
Not sure what you are getting at here...you blew your motor on low boost? If so, you had some serious detonation issues you need to clear up on the new motor.

i have a quick question somewhat along the lines of this topic.
lets say i have my ultimate set at T1-15, and forced to use shitty 91. under boost i get a pretty fair amount of knock, but when i put higher octane... lets 100, the knock is pretty much eliminated or kept to a very low level. if i were to step into an alky kit, would that be considered "putting a band aid on the problem"? for some reason my truck just doesnt like 91, and thats all thats available out here. i cant really afford 65 bucks to fill up my tank with 100.

i was racing a corvette and being stupid, i did win so....o well, hehe. my truck has ahd a bad valve for a while, ever since i ran 23 pounds of boost on 112 octane, with no cat. i unplugged the wastegate line, allowing my boost to reach 24 and attempted to make up for it with the octane but it didnt work, 6 months later i have to spend 7700 for a full rebuild.(je pistons, crane cam crank, brodix heads etc..)

get the 3-bar, then you can run 18psi safely...
