Took the column, dash, and seats out this weekend. And last weekend pulled the fenders and core support off it. Also bought a engine hoist, stand, and dolly to get ready to pull the drivetrain out of it. Getting ready to strip it all the way down and have the frame blasted and coated. The burnt up plugs are to the ignition switch, and all the wires have been spliced just a few inches from that.

Good lord, how will you ever get it back together?:lol::rotf::tup::tdown: Couldn't decide...

Me? made final prep for engine removal. Waiting for a cherry picker. Where'd that name come from anyway? Chatted with a knowledgeable friend about my possible spun main and we now think it might be a toasted cam bearing. That would be a first for me but better that a main I guess eh?

Found out that an ECM is a tricky bugger to diagnose...but, thanks to Scott and Mark, I think we pegged it down to that.

I'll find out tomorrow.

Drove it to the original owners house. He has not seen it since its been back on the road. Put a smile on his face to see it saved.

Thats awesome! Did you let him take it for a spin? I see you hung the tailgate back on it too.

Was going to take him for a spin, but didn't have tons of time.bs'd for a bit and had to take off. He was telling me about some of the other vehicles he had (besides several sytys).
Gave me a set of nos seat bottoms too. Dated April 91 never been on a car.
We're going to hit the range again soon.

Got the motor out of the truck flipped it over on the stand, pulled the main caps and I've spun bpth center mains. I stopped there. Will finish the tear-down tomarrow and look at the crank then. Hoping both, crank and block, are not to bad, IE repairable. I have a good std. stock crank but no block.

Got my fuel sender working again, wired up the ez-tcu, started putting the interior back together.
Tomorrow....build new intake for the turbo, new battery, 94 octane fuel and see if it drives.

Got the crank out of the block. Block actually looks OK. Hone marks still there almost like nothing happened?? Crank not so much but not as bad as I thought it might either. Will visit the machine shop for their opinion.

Installed custom trailer hitch on the Ty. Ken, Neil and Tony have the pic from my phone. It is pimp...

My phone does not like me or I would post it up.

Put the clip that holds the prop rod on from the junkyard hunt this morning. Painted my salvaged under hood insulator with some rattle can black and put another 400 miles on my new engine driving from Arkansas to Missouri.

Now I just need to fix the squealing belt or pulley, yet to determine which one it is and chase down my driving vibration....the joys of SyTy ownership.
