Just got back from driving mine to our car club meeting..... 60 degrees is really good horsepower weather! :D

Installed my grill insert today.....wow, it looks factory and really cleans it up under there!

The domino effect. All of this started because of a broken intercooler pump. The phrase "while I am in here" took over.....:rant:

Well i took the syclone down to the autofair @ lowes motor speedway. I showed it. I also scored a metal 2in cowl hood for 250 bucks


I drove the truck to the painter's place and dropped off the hood and he stole my gas door for paint match-up. then drove it over to look at gn a friend bought that needs work.


I can't wait till i get the hood on it.

Drove it for a few hours today through Pennsyltuckey since the weather was so nice, stopped under some random bridge and took a pic.

Installed a Moog idler arm. The original one did not want to come out, lots of hammering and some pry bar action. Lost one of the nuts some where in the frame:rant: and my pitman arm grease nipple just snapped off, so thats next.

There are 2 holes in the fender that appear to be where this bolts up to, BUT the fender bends in, preventing me from bolting it in, AND there is a hole in the fender right where this bracket should be, so I just bolted the "S" bracket directly to the fender thru the hole that was already there.

Make sense?

For the Sy I cut the nuts off the fuel sender pickup, bought a roll of 1/16" thick rubber mat to use as insulation for the gas tank straps & painted the perimiter around the rear tail lights.

For the Ty I bought some sheetmetal to fab up the air box.

On the black Ty, I got all the bolts in the trans, Bolted up the torque converter. Bolted the oil lines to the adapter on the engine block. Connected the turbo oil feed and return lines to the engine.

After I pulled the blue Ty back into the garage, I noticed a puddle of trans fluid on the ground were it had been sitting.

apparently braided line can't rest on a prop shaft or it'll wear a hole in it. Apparently if that braided line is a fuel line....it'll leak gas if there is a hole in it. :rant:

I tried to macguyver a fix w/ some rtv, a plastic bag, and some tape...no dice. Then i tried to cut out the hole, and hose clamp some solid line (sbc dipstick tube that i flared the other side out) and rtv the ends also....no dice. :rant:

So my truck is stuck at my g/f's parents house for right now. :lol: Anyone have some -8 braided they wanna donate? :rotf:

It IS still a truck, besides, one of the tuning posts suggested adding some weight to explore new regions of F29...

Pulled out the a/c box getting ready to put in the heater box, but couldn't because i need new shorter blower fan.

I sand blasted my stock wheels. I'm going to have them painted a bright silver met color and then clearcoated!
