Maybe you should had not cut anything but use your headlight area to make the tube stick out. You stated it was only at the track!!! Just thought that would save cutting up such a nice truck you have. Anyway its yours do what you think is right!!

Drove it to work today. Looks like most of the gremlins are away on vacation....I might be able to put away the jackstands for awhile (NO JINX!).

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

I would like to do this. but i can't figure out the way to actually get the bed off the truck without disturbing, the paint on the cladding and truck..

Ya, it's got a Turbo
Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Remove the pass. side bolts and then re-install with only 3-4 turns. Remove the driver side bolts, unplug the harness, disconnect the filler neck from the body and lift. Insert block of wood to hold it up and presto.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

While I didnt remove the bed, I dropped the tank as well. And pulled out the stock fuel lines. Ordered all AN and braided hose to do a complete AN fuel system. In a week or two I'll order the harness and parts for the double pumper kit and install it all. I'll post pics when I get the hose's and fittings and get it all done.

In a few days I'll pull the rear, repaint it and the frame, and maybe under the bed on the rails. They have some light rust. Might as well stop it before it ever gets worse.

fixed the driver side power window, it sheared off the aluminum rivets. Put in bolts for now but stainless will go back in. That was easier than last weeks turbo and air intake replacement.

Re: What did you do to your SY/TY today?

Pulled the motor out and pulled the heads off (after nearly 3 years since the head gasket blew). Found:
1. A cracked bellhousing (probably happened when pulling the motor)
2. A bent valve

Valve on cylinder 5 stuck open

Crack in the bellhousing

Tear in the head gasket on cylinder 3, and valve damage on piston 5.

Also finished putting the new drag radials on.

On the Ty: Replaced the stock pitman with a Moog unit, removed torsion bar x-member, wire wheeled the passenger side frame rail in engine bay, removed ABS sensor harness, removed remote filter lines & mount (permanently), drilled a hole in 4" fiberglass cowl hood so I could mount the hood latch, mounted & adjusted hood latch.

Cleaned the wheel wells while they are out of the truck and some suspension parts. 15+ years and 42k miles worth of grit and grease up in there. A sandblaster would have helped, but it looks a lot better (not that many will see in there). :)

Saturday was semi productive"

One item checked off the list, another 1/2 way started. CAI pipe pcv bung welded...cost :2cents: I wish I had more to do that cost so little.

made two brackets and welded both in for a Derale 13700 cooler, fits under the bed. The fan is very strong, enough to lift the bed 1inch off the ground. I like it a lot though. It's kinda perfect for a syclone with all the spiraling and circulating air going on underneath!! very  Have the thermostat on hand but need a relay and switch for the wiring. Not sure what to do about the tranny lines yet. Mine is from the RPM kit, so ??? yet.

Nice Spare Tire, I guess if you get a flat you could turn the fan on high to keep the truck going down the road. J/k

Can you hear that fan running from inside the truck? What made you mount it there? How do you like those battle bars and how do you like the ride with out the extra load spring missing?

If you are going to trailer it out to Nats many people will see those inner fender wheel wells while it is up on your trailer.
