Got my baby out for the summer over the weekend. Took cover off, hooked up the battery and she fired right up as usual. Headed straight to town and filled it up with fresh 93 octane. Changed the oil and fuel filter and headed out for a nice drive in the country.
Watched as she turned over to a whapping 38K miles... they grow up so fast... :(

Just ordered polygraphite body and cab mounts, KYB front shocks, and a complete brake line kit in SS from Inline Tube...and much more to come! I can't make money fast enough to spend on it!!

Lowered front and rear on the ty, installed intercooler scoop, and found a rear brake line was broken. All fixed and much better

Installed a battery cable from the block to the battery (rear) to improve grounds.
Wired up the alky control setup.

drove the ty with the turbo open and LOVED how it sounded. nice whistle and whooosh when let off.

tried to do a quick 0-60 and got it to boost launch pretty easy at 4psi. (i usually struggle with 1-2psi) well, despite my enthusiasm, the launch was abruptly cut short when shortly after I let off the brake, boost spiked to 17.5psi and A/F ratios jumped to 15:1 (truck is stock other than ATR catback). It popped and sputtered and lost all power. won't be doing that again till after the 3" DP and wastegate cutout/porting.


also ordered a set of setback plates, 1" blocks and bumpstops for the overload springs.

Removed lower intake, got 40% leakdown at cyl.5 blowing out intake valve, considering what to do, should I pull out engine or remove cylinder head with engine innstalled?:oops:

I'm almost where you're at. If you need to pull the head then you're probably better off pulling the engine.

Sucks to hear - I'm doing a leakdown test today as well - thanks for the reminder!

Washed it and took it for a little ride with my best friends, my two sons. Have put a 100 miles on it as of that ride since purchase. But the boys had there last football game Friday night so we are going to start attending ome of the cruise night events in the area.

installed oilpressure gauge (****ing spa unit died). installed new dist gear. set timing. cleaned up some wires.
and thought about putting insurance on it, but than again......

Verified that Fuel Pressure was going up with Boost. My Dad made a custom bracket to mount my Fuel Pressure gauge.

Started installing some items that are collecting dust. Last night it was the fuel pressure regulator!

inner left tie rod
idler arm
new bilsteins all around
new fog lights
new marker/turn lenses
took the wheels in, got one repaired, all of em refinished
tightened up the steering wheel
installed boost gauge
changed the window wipers!

All of this over the last couple days.

Then took it for a quick drive tonight, was quite a nice feeling.

Just installed my Bilsteins the other day too! Huge difference!
