Hey everyone...

Its been on my mind lately how we dont have a DC metro area meet! would anyone be interest? We could do something at Capital Raceway/MIR/Buds Creek----Something! Lets figure something out that doesnt involve 6-8 hours of driving each way for us to attend. Anyone like the idea?

I believe we are south east, barely. Wiki also agree's with me. Do either of you have a favorite spot? I went to one in MD probably about 8 or 9 years ago. I believe it was in a state park somewhere near water. I may be wrong though. Are you near Capital Raceway at all?

Northeast? At Hooter's there were members from Va, Md, Pa, NY, NJ even Canada. I wouldn't be opposed to going to Maryland if I'm free...Jim

I'm 4 hours from MIR so given I'm free and my truck actually runs I may be in for something. As long as nj, pa, NY peeps are welcomed :lol:

Not to bad of results so far for this thread only being a day or so old, lets see how many others pop. I am a fan of capital, they let you bring your own food/beer (as long as your not the one racing) and its a pretty fun atmosphere. I think the last time I was there about 2 years ago it was $10.00 for friday test and tune night. Not sure what their current schedule is, I assume about the same though.

depending on the weekend i may make it down and visit my parents in va while im there.

capital raceway in md? Me and some Car Club of VT alumni will be there the end of July...would love for these two dates to collide.

I would be up for a Friday evening test and tune, not sure if others can take a half work day though. Below is capitol raceway's schedule for that weekend of July

Friday July 29, Test & Tune

Saturday July 30, ET Bracket Racing “NHRA King of the Track” * POINTS RACE FOR BIG CARS

No Jr’s. ECF at Bristol
Sunday July 31, Rain Date For 7/30


They will not have open test and tune on any of the weekends, its only friday night. Whats everyones schedule/choice/input on this.

Talked to my friends, we actually go to Cecil, not Capital. Cecil was featured in an episode of Top Gear not too long ago.
