Which wastegates are most people using? I have a 3" atr downpipe with there wastegate and it doesn't flow enough for a te-62 turbo? Any thoughts..... Jerry Mccoy wants me to to a 46f tial.... Any input would be helpful....

the atr wastegates are notorious for being crappy. In my expirience, however they usually dont like making alot of boost. There are some guys who rebuild them and mod them to work better. Or you can run a 38mm Tial, Turbonetics, or ITS wastegate in place. They all take the same wg flange.
The 38mm is fine.. Plenty for a 62 turbo. A 42mm wouldnt hurt but will require re-configuring of both the inlet and outlet pipe of the wastegate.. A 46 or 60mm wastegate not only would require a v-band flange, but would be completely pointless mounted off a turbine housing. Placement of the wastegate is just as critical as the wastegate itself.
