Volumetric Effciency dips in TP??

I go to looking at some logged data in TunerProRT and noticed that my VE and Injector Base Pulse width have dips and spikes when viewing them in graphic view.

In my head this should not have these dips and spikes, but my head some times needs examining! :screwy: Could this be an injector going out, bad ECM, or normal?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Btw any new news on $59 code

I never noticed the dips in VE, but I posted a while ago about the spikes of injector pulse width here in this forum. I was told they are erroneous. Since then I have noticed no change in AFR when they occur, no matter how many there seem to be at the time. Maybe the VE dips are the same.

I don't think VE or IPW is a measured value. I believe they are calculated values, and I also want to say that is what makes those dips/spikes a non-issue......I think.....Maybe one of the Guru's will chime in with some better evidence/thoughts than this.

dig would be better to answer, but I am 90% sure it is based on the ecm doing a calculation and the aldl grabbing the VE value in the middle of that calculation.

VE comes from MANY tables, not just one.

It's a bug. They're not real.

I suspect it has to do with the timing of the loop that the ALDL code runs vs. the fuel code.
We might have to do some deeper analysis on that one of these days.

The VE number isn't particularly close to being accurate.

So, the spikes in the IPW are errors in the alda and not anything with the injectors?
