Viper kill story with Video...

Howdy,

I was legal street racing the other night. I had a run against a new Viper with 100 shot. Here is the video:

I know the video sucks, I'm trying to get a better one.

I've serious traction problems so that was a 0 psi start, which resulted that he was on my neck out of the hole. Luckily I was able to held him behind me from brute force.

On a note, don't mind the times, they are including reaction times. I was running around 93-94 mph that night.

So what does your truck run in the quarter mile?

That 1/8th mile equates to a 13.30 or so, but he said he couldn't leave with boost.

I've also mentioned, that don't mind the times, since they are including reaction times. Anyway, I've only run once on the 1/4 mile with this build, 12.3@114 with 1.96 on the 60ft. That's with 17 psi with a very conservative tuning. I was running 11.8@115 with my old short block with 1.70 short times, with 20 psi. On a side note, we have no tracks with preparation, so it's not that easy to pull a good short time...

This Viper can go around 8.0 in the 1/8 with 2.2 short times...

Smaug!

The wheels are BBS RX II's, 18x8... They are the source of my traction problem, but I really like them, so they will stay on the truck. I'm planning to pick up a set of Yokohama A048's for them tomorrow. We will see...

Cool truck you have! Reaction times do not get included in your e.t. though; you can sit there for five seconds, the timers don't start until you break the beam by leaving.

Thanks. :D

About reaction times. Well, I'm not stupid or something and I'm racing quite for a while now. Belive me on this event they were displaying times with the reaction time included. I mind you, that's not your good, old, average US race track, but a POS in middle Europe, where they care nothing about any kinda rules or regulations...

Wasn't insinuating that you were stupid! :D Just didn't know if you were aware of how the timers work, at least here in the U.S.
