V8 valve covers convert to V6

Thought I’d share this....
Since I don’t like the stock valve covers I decided to try something new. I was looking to buy some but they’re limited and super expensive. I had some chevy 350 ones laying around in the garage and gave it a try. If you know how to use a saw, tape measure, and a tig welder your set. I’m not the best welder by all means but well enough to get it done ;-). Ill post more pics once paint them and mount them on.

Gents,
I looked at a set of v8 covers this weekend that was laying in the shop. The distance is the same or really close to the Brodix heads (v6). When I get some more time I might get the backup heads out and take a closer look at this. thanks for the heads up.

Thx guys! I've always wondered , I decided to put the wonder behind me and make it happen. I will mention that I used the tall ones because thats what I had. If someone plans of giving it a shot I would say go with the short covers. Tall ones will fit with slight mods to the surrounding area. I plan to put these on the Ty and make me another pair ( short) for the Sy.

Perimeter bolt sbc mod for lil brodies YES you can make them work bolt hole spacing is the same,however you have cut both ends off remove material and reattach ends using heads as a jig,cast VC prolly not a good idea impurities in the cast aluminum make for crappy welds and weak,gonna use fabricated sbc center bolt VC cut gap out reattach use the center bolt holes for spark plug wire looms or laser cut typhoon emblems may even have enough room for stud girdle
