Upgrades???

Would a 160* stat be to low for the winter it gets into the teens here. And how do i adjust my fuel pressure if i get 50# injectors.I got the Walbro fuel pump with the ultimate chip but i dont know weither or not i have the 3 bar map sensor cause i dont know where the map sensor is on these trucks? I still got to get my cracked exhaust manifold fixed tho and i still got to get an intake. And fix my vac problem. Alot to do before upgrades but im planning for savings for the updrades and want to make it run great. And is it basicly impossible to tune in these trucks with out DM. Where do i buy DM?? and i geuss that means i need a lap top. What about EGR mod is it helpfull?? Whats the best after market IC for the money??

For the price its worth it if for no other reason than it makes it easier to get to the distributor and its prettier. I deleted mine but never compared times or anything.

Whats the best after market IC for the money??

Get a johnson pump for the stock one. If you want to keep the water intercooler and upgrade there is a bigger upper intercooler available. Heres the link http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37463
Or take the stock one and bellmouth the inlet a little and put on an auxiliary intercooler(do a search for that) That will get you a little better airflow and lower temps. I'm going to use the RPM air to air intercooler ( http://www.raceprovenmotors.com/cart/product_info.php?cPath=21_132&products_id=47 ) with alcohol injection or maybe a small shot of nitrous if I get ballsy.

I still got to get my cracked exhaust manifold fixed tho and i still got to get an intake.

Which side manifold is cracked? What do you mean by you have to get an intake?

The turbo side manifold is cracked. And i ment i want an intake.

Take off the egr and put on a blockoff plate. Or just make the EGR valve itself inoperative but that doesnt look as good.
Keep your egr valve if you have to pass emissions.

They are pretty good about shipping so it wouldnt take too long to get as long as they have on sitting on the shelf.
I bought my egr blockoff from ebay but cant find the user now. It was a little cheaper but you'll have to do some searching to find one.

Mine was cracked on the turbo side too. I ended up having to buy a set. They run around $200-300. You might get lucky and find someone who can repair that though.

Just stick a K&N air filter at the end of the stock crossover. That's what I have for now until I relocate my battery in a couple of weeks. :tup:

what do you do with the vacuum lines for the egr valve? after that mod
Another thing i need a great diagram of the vac lines because mine are all screwed up

Plug them off or remove them and plug that off. Isnt there a diagram on your core support?

Follow the vacuum line back from the egr valve. First thing it connects to should be it. I think its on the drivers side but I dont remember and I dont have my truck together to look off of.

Heres a pic of the EGR solenoid. It is on the drivers side(see the oil fill cap and the brake booster line)

The egr solenoid is the black box type thing with fins next to the map sensor on the drivers side valve cover.

ohh i read it its just that i dont have that solenoid at all its gone the only thing there is the map thats why i couldnt find it its missing. what should i do buy a new one and slap it on there i geuss. Now comes more questions when i buy one is there electrical plugs that run to it?? if only i had a digital camera.
