Unstable idle

Hello Guys

I just bought a 1993 typhoon with 39k miles, but the car was parked in a collection for a few years.
I have changed the fuel filter, fuel pump(now is running Walbro), spark plugs, plugs wires, distributor cap an rotor and all the fluids, but the car stills with rough idle. I live in Brazil and I have only 4 cars in the whole Brazil. Anyone can help me?

tks
Ricardo

Clean fuel injectors. Check for vacuum hose leaks (spray break cleaner helps sometimes) and upgrade chip(Turbo Tweak) at the very least. Check PCV valve, IAC and other parts for carbon build up (if they only ran engine in idle while in storage ). Hopefully, they drove it some instead. Idle is too lean for valves to endure.

Tks for the tips!
Also can you help me finding the PCV and IAC ?

My mistake, not IAC. EGR valve and PCV under intercooler. Which you can check when removing injectors for cleaning. Also, make sure temp sensor going to ECM is good. 20201003_105728.jpg20201003_105449-1.jpg20201003_105432.jpg

FYI, TT chip turn EGR off and intercooler pump runs at lower temps among other benefits. Must check fuel pressure! Set at 43# vacuum line off. Need a scanner tool or can use ALDLDroid app with bluetooth cable. YouTube. Make sure everything is within specs. Any codes?

Ok.
Yes I think, because check engine blinks and sometimes still on. I didn’t check the codes yet. Can I do it jumping OBD? Without a scanner? I Have kiwi 3 OBD interface, any adapter for the typhoon connector ?
The car is worse when it’s cold. Hesitation, and unstable idle.

Yes you can jumper at ALDL port under dash and count the blinks. Still have to measure fuel psi. Make sure brown wire from distributor is hooked up under glove box on passenger side too. In case someone messed with that.

Do not change the chip out while you are trying to get your truck running properly!!! You could end up with real problems. You will be much more happy with the truck if you never modify it from stock. Ever!

Check for codes. Then vacuum leaks. Only work on one thing at the time. If something goes wrong with something you tried you will know what you did and can correct it more easily.
