sy112 How much difference speed & et wise?
Well that's part of the beauty of it, with all the different settings there is a lot of differences you can do. Depending on which version you get of course. When I bought my truck I had the Ultimate on it so I can't really give you any time differences. When i purchased mine it was running very rough so I put the 2 bar map and stock chip back in until I got all the woes lined out, then stuck the Ultimate back on. I never ran at the track with the stock chip. But I can tell you there is a world of difference in the "seat of the pants" review.
13.52 is the best I have gotten so far, but there is a lot more left. As you can see by my crappy 60 ft time and my getting 99 mph trap speed. I figure running the Ultimate, I should be able to get real close to the 12's without having a "one off" chip burned. Probably won't get there though as I have a pte kit ready to bolt on
What I eventually plan on doing is burning each of the different programs for certain driving purposes. i.e., have one for when I do long driving and want to run 87 octane, one for running on street with alky injection on pump gas, one full bore track program, you get the idea, so at whatever circumstance I am in, I just select that program.
Also while I haven't done this, if you are tuning, instead of running, datalogging, then coming back burning a chip, you could burn several different programs, then go try each program and find the best, then burn over the other with more "suspected" improvements and do the whole process over. Then when you get it just right, save that program and then reinstall the other programs on the chip. In theory should make tuning faster if you can't afford the Romulator and Tunercat.
Like I said, most of this is in theory only
Either way I think the Ultimate gives the best overall buy.
Hey BG, I should get a special made 2 5/8 guage style Ultimate for my shameless plug of your work

Free of course. Need to find something to replace the EGT on my pillar.
