Ultimate chip Problem....

Im having a problem with the ultimate for (stock injectors) falling flat on its face at WOT. It seems to do it between 2-3gear. It almost feels like fuel is being shut off. I running Datamaster, and it shows that im not overboosting, so I dont know?? I installed a 3bar map, chips installed into the ecm right. I tried the T1 15 and the T1 16, and both do the same thing. Base FP is set at 50psi w/no vacum on regulator. I checked the wires coming out of the ultimate and they all look good, no cuts or breaks. I leaning towards this being a faulty/damaged ultimate since the guy I bought it off of didnt send everthing we discussed, and then mysteriouly doesnt respond to emails. Is there any way to confirm, or someone to check it out?? Thanks for any leads guys, Fern

"50psi" ?Is that vac .plug in or not set it @ 40psi vac. unpluged "make run"

Is the chip programed for a diff. size injector?

Have you upgraded the fuel pump

Your best bet is to talk to Smeagol

Did I read right, you said I should drop FP to 40psi with vaccum disconnected from FPR?? I have set at 50psi with vaccum line disconnected from FPR. FP upgrades have been done. You think Smegal will chime in or should I just email him??

forgot to mention that black chip plugged in to the ultimate(forgot the proper terminolagy) say STG on it, thats all. Would that indicate a chip for stock injectors. I waqs supposed to recieve two chips but only got on by the guy who burned me. He said he had one for 50lbs injectors and stock injectors, maybe this is the 50lbs chip?? Anyone??

What are the numbers of the chip according to Datamaster? It will be in the upper right hand corner.

Sounds like overboost. What were you looking at on Datamaster to check that it wasn't overboosting?

Also, I assume you have the stock chip piggybacked onto the Ultimate?

Thanks for replying, since I put my external wastegate on boost was solid at 15.2psi according to datamaster runs. I called the dealer and gave them the PN for the 3bar MAP I recieved and they told me its off a 1989TTA. So its the right MAP. Would a datamaster file possible help you guys??

Turn the boost down and check if you still get that cut-off.

Also, see what RPM you are at, if you have some tranny issues and the truck is shifting late... you might be hitting the rev limiter

Guys, I was reading through some old posts and read about how datamaster has to be setup to read a 3bar MAP over a stock 2Bar. But Ive never done this, and never seen any place to do this in datamaster?? If thats the case Im probably am overboosting and dont even know it??

Well, did another run with DM set to read a 3bar MAP. With ultimate set at T1 15, the truck cuts out right at 20psi. Takes me right till 3-4 gear till the boost has slowly climbed up to 20psi from 15psi. So I guess now I have to figure out my boost control problem. Thanks for all the troubleshooting with the ultimate guys, now hopefully you guys could figure out my boost creep problem
