i have an ultimate chip in my syclone, i have not yet even fired truck since owning it, (will fire soon) prev owner said that it performed great.
i've read any info i've been able to find on the ultimate chip, mine is the older style led screen with the red button.
my question being, is an ultimate chip better for stockish, slightly modified trucks, as well as trucks with a bit more stuff done to them?
the reason i ask is because based on what i've read it seems when they were made they were kind of a one size fits all type of thing, you specify your injector size, turbo size, use a 3 bar map and your boost/timing settings are set.
so being that i have gathered they are a one size fits all kind of thing, wouldn't a more modified truck require a chip with tuning capabilities?
am i wrong or what, can someone enlighten me?
i've been getting alot of my info here

just found something new, an ostrich setup or moates can be used to change the "bin" out on an ultimate, for one more suited to your specific application?
i'm new to this stuff and am trying to learn, but it's alot to take in at once. i've never messed with tuning stuff before.
