Just a couple of questions.
Most of your races,, are they full 1/4 mile races, 0- 60 MPH, 0-80 MPH. 0-100?
Just a few cars out? So many feet?

Just seeing what most of your racing experience is racing your TY.

What stops you from racing full 1/4 mile?

Traffic,,,, for safety reasons,,,guy turns off because they are imbarrassed (sp) , because they just let off so soon because they figure you already beaten them.and so-on ,,etc?

Thanks!

He'll post about his racing, but being a passenger during a couple of his races, he'll take whatever he can get! Race from a roll; race from a dig; race from stop light to stop light...you name it! I was actually kinda jealous when we hungout and got in a couple races; here in Cleveland, I think i've had 2 or 3 actual races the entire time i've owned my truck. One night with Mike, we have 3,4 maybe 5 races! Totally fun guy to hang with!

Yeah Brian hit it dead on. I do however try to race other cars/trucks/bikes/ that I think will be a good race. i.e., I wont race a ricer Civic, unless Im in a goofy mood. A lot of people around here will tell you I wont race a REAL car but they just say that cause they havent tried to race me yet. It doesnt help that they are not around when I decide NOT to back down from that Viper and only lose by two cars in the 1/4. Ofcourse I am by no means saying I have the fastest or even close car/truck here on the streets. I would say for the most part the distance I usually race is split between 1/4 and light to light. There is a side street(industrial) here that I have actually measured out with a measuring wheel that from a cbale peg to an electrical box, is exqactly a 1/4 mile. I race there somewhat frequently. I have a lot video of it too. However, now that I think about it, I think I do a lot more light to light stuff. We have big streets here and you can get up to 90 easily on most of them before the next light so I dont know if that tells youanything. I guess if you look through my Kills, and losses, you could easily count where they took place. I probably only post about half to 2/3's of my races though. Why do you ask?

I was asking, because some guy here on this forum thinks nobody races short races.
Stating ,nobody races for just 60 ft.
A race to him is concidered a full 1/4 mile .
Thanks for the reply!

I had a guy ask me to race the 60' on the street for a couple hundred dollars. I was all for it till someone informed me that his 79 camaro is a mid 9 second car on drag radials.

I cant say Ive ever been challenged to a 60' race. Sounds kinda wierd to me. Usually I dont make nay rules nor does anyone else. Thats why I dont get the whole PINKS show. Why would you give anyone a car length or more? If your car is slow its slow. Anyway, back on topic.

Cool, I was not saying you race for 60 ft, just asking, with all your races you have done,,, do you think you raced more races in feet(like 1/8th mile , or full 1/4 mile races?

Basically I was trying to say is that guys w/these new motorcycles think they are so fast,(& yes they are in the 1/4 mile) they think they can beat any Syclone out there on the street.Even just for 60 ft.

If you ever get a chance to race another bike on the street,, ask them if they just want to race for 60 ft or so,Tell them your truck shakes really bad after 50 mph  , they will be all for if, if they do not think too much about it.
You will have a sure win, unless he has a wheelie bar ,or is a pro rider, & believe me,, there are very few guys on these GSXR 750, 1000's ,Busa's, R1's and so on w/a wheelie bar, extended swingarm, or a prorider, riding around on the street.

I am telling everyone here basically, do not be affraid of racing these bikes (through an intersection or 60 ft) if you are running a 1.8 or so 60 ft time, 9 times out of ten the rider will choke on the launch.
They will be shocked by getting beat by an old truck w/a ground effects kit. AKA Syclone :rotf:

I would say the majority of my races have been between 1/8 and a 1/4. I have vid of mye racing a bike who didnt pass me til the 1/8 or so. I never back down from bikes. A lot of times ont he street, the cars that are capapble of hunting me down in the 1/4 have no chance or not enough room light to light. So I often feel that bikes are a better race. Ive raced a shit load of bikes and its always different. Im sure that out of all the bikes Ive raced 40% of htem had to be atleast decent riders. Ild say last summer alone I probably raced about 25. I am not exagerating either. Keep in mind there were times I had to race a whole pack of them. Never had one take me through an intersection but when my truck was on 20psi and it was running really good ( for a few weeks), I took one all the way up to 85. Usually they come past me at about 40-60mph.

I think my best with my zx12r in the quarter without strapping the front down a little bit was a 2.0 maybe.. can't really remember I was more focused on the mid nine second slips i was getting over all :)

I'd say watch out for any of those bikes listed above if they have an extended swing arm

So,, out of the 25 or so streetbike races, how many did you lose to out of the hole?
