Went through an intersection yesterday and saw a beautiful blue X5 sitting at the stoplight to my left. It looked like the guy was looking at my truck like he knew what a Ty was. I slowed down hoping his light would change and I could catch him at the next stoplight.
He finally pulled up to my right. I don't like brake-boosting all the time, plus I figured he wouldn't even race me, so the light changed and I took off pretty easy and then slowly pressed down on the accelerator.
I look back to the right and he was at my rear quarter-panel and it looked like he was doing the same as me. So I punched it (around 20 mph) and he did as well.
He hung at my bumper for a second, then as soon as 3rd gear hit I pulled him about a car, then I just held it down and looked back and he fell way behind.
I slowed down to give him thumbs up - I've raced a 350Z and an LT1 Trans Am from highway punches and this was the closest race I've had so far - but he turned off.
Anyway, I've heard those things have 340 hp and go 0-60 in 6.2. Anyone know the 1/4 mile times? I'm taking my Ty to the track this weekend.
