If you don't have the time/energy/knowledge to do it yourself, take it to someone who can. Since you're in North Florida, you may want to look up John Waller (http://www.wallerperformance.com/) who can probably get you back on the road.

Re: TYPHOON project...need advice

There doesnt seem to be all that much where you would need to send it out . If you plan on enjoying the truck , your going to want to know how , what , where , everything goes and works together . Just Buy opies syty cd manual . It has all the diagrams and schematics you will ever need .

If you send it out and something comes up in the future , you'll already have hands on experience with your ty and know what needs to be done . Unless you made of money , having someone jump into a project that you dont know what needs to be done can add up quick .

Re: TYPHOON project...need advice

I emailed Waller this morning. I'll see what he says. I might do the obvious and when it gets close to the end take it somewhere. I'd want the alcohol and tuning perfect
thanks for the responses so far

Re: TYPHOON project...need advice

I am moving forward. I have taken it down to have polishing, powder, etc done.

I didnt like the undercoating so I stripped it and repainted it with semi gloss black while I wait for the parts to come back.

I plan to have A/C and since I will have to move the cooler forward I had to modify the hood support bracket. I had a guy cut it and weld a plate to the back to have room for 2 more bolts. It sits on there great and works perfect. I also had the turbo polished. When I get the front mount, brackets, alternator, and some other stuf back from the polisher and powder coater(I expect tomorrow). I should start putting it back together and hopefully have it off to Waller for wiring, plumbing and tuning. This is what I have now.

thanks. My only SYTY experience is with 2 stock SY's. I have some very high hopes for it. It is incredibly clean and mint. The paint and interior is near perfect. With Waller tuning it has going to be fast. He really did something with Jamie's truck.

Re: TYPHOON project...ready for Waller!

Got it ready for Waller now. All the parts I was waiting for came in. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. Pics arent as nice as I'd like because the sun was too bright so I had to use flash and close the garage door. Any way pics are here.
