Re: Ty1001

Started making a non-AC fancover since they are near to impossible to get here...and its fun to custom fabricate.
My buddy did one in aluminum, I went the cheaper way with steel....

cool. it's nice to see people make their own parts

Thanks, I agree.
I have the fortune to have a buddy that practiclly has his own "machine shop" at home with all the equipment for making the work easier, eventhou this non AC cover was "bent and hammered oldfashion way"

And its only costs me $20

Maybe you will see some syty-products comming out of the garage in the near future ;)

Re: Ty1001

Started installing the GT3582R
Seems like the DP from turbo gone be tight to the manifolds so I decided making a "distance flange" and put the WG on that.

Today Turbo goes on and DP gone be fabricated.

Oh, poor video quality (video taking by the camera in the mobilephone) and not much to see. Looked more fun in the mobile phone where you could actully see the metal coming at the lens in hight speed :)

Re: Ty1001

Didn't make all the progress I wanted...run out of time to set up the WG
But DP seems to fit.

Had to make alittle "bend" at the middle of the DP... not to bad...
Yes, DP has to come out when changing plugs. V-band at the CAT and 4 easy reacheble bolt at the turbo gone make it not that hard to take the DP out.

WG gone be "on the top side". Not As I first planned out as on the picture.

Re: Ty1001

Well it always takes twice the time for everything...but i'm 95% finished with my GT3582R installation , fabrication.
It has been fun, learning and frustrating fabricating DP, IC pipes, Turbo/WG "coupler". Hope I soon can enjoy my truck again.

Exhaust, V-band are making it soo much easier both installing / taking apart but also finding the right angles for fitment when cutting the SS pipes.

Got to get a 30degree AN-8 hose end instead of the straight AN-8 hose end (of course I send payment in a letter). The water return from turbo is too close to the WG. Would be thankful if someone sent me one of these 30 degree AN-8 's since it would be ridicoulus expensive to just order that hose end from summit. To just place the order from over seas cost $25:- But well well maybe I'll find something else to buy. Air filter gone have a new home to...but it will due for now

Had to modify the inner fender aswell
