Figured it was about time i made a build thread. I picked up my typhoon in December with a goal of having something I could play with after work and on the weekends. when I got it the plan was to just change out he suspension
with factory replacement upper and lower control arms and new shocks. I got them all replaced but was not happy with the ride. so this happened
JSM upper and lower control arms with viking coilovers not pictured belltech sway bar

So the next round of mods it was time for a full tune up along with a few other things. TT chip,80lbs injectors,255 fuel pump with a rewire kit, MSD 6AL,MSD digital 2step, MSD coil, electric fan,5.5gal water/ice box with rule 2000gph pump, upgraded heat exchanger, trans cooler and e85. also got rid of the non working ac and ditched the ABS

After driving it around for a week or so tuning the TT chip on e85 I was ready to hit the track. I managed a 12.64 at 103mph. I was really happy with that time.

Re: Ty #1834

So after that last pass of 12.64, I had a feeling it still had more in it. Boost was at 20-21psi with timing still only in the 15-16deg range for 1st/2nd and 17/18degs in 3rd/4th. So I added in some more timing. 1st/2nd was now 18/20degs and 3rd/4th was now 21/22degs. I also wired in a switch so I could lock the TC in 2nd gear. Back to the track I went. first pass of the night 12.34@107. I backed that up with a 12.36@107. both were shitty 1.80 sixty foots because my brakes would not hold more then about 3-4psi.
I was really happy. But I still think it has more. I believe I can get into the low low 12s or high 11s with a low 1.6sixty.

Lookin forward to see if that setup has 11s in it. Curious what are your intake temps before and after a 1/4 pass ?

Last time at the track 80deg day at the start of the pass IAT was 90degs. By the end of the pass
IAT was was 68degs logged on tunerpro RT. This was with the water/ice box packed full of ice.
On a normal day just driving it around and doing a pull, IAT are normally 20-30degs above ambient temp.
The ice really helps.
