Waste gate was falling off was missing some bolts. that what the problem was. still needs more tuning also to my understanding.

Is that why it sounded like it was detonating horribly or had an exhaust (obvious now) leak? Truck looked soo good though!

To my understanding that was one of the problems dont know all the details. You will have ask muffins about everything just heard about the waste gate. that was the matalic sound that it was making.

Yes his wastegate was missing 2 bolts to hold it to dp, and the nut inside that holds the shaft to the diaphram was totally off also. The noise you heard was the wastegate diaphram fluttering when it got into some boost.

I believe Gerber found the issue, for sure he helped fix it.

Renz and I still had a good time. The first race he got messed up by starter guy so I gave him another chance and hot lapped it.

2nd race I made sure he got a head start, got to wondering at one point if I gave him too much though.

I think once Mike's truck get's dialed in and tuned it'll run real nice. Very good buy for sure. Once the bugs are worked out it'll be awsome!

Truck was running real good for the heat and only 5psi of boost. We were trying to get the boost up a bit, but it appears my theory on how to hook some things up just didn't work out right. No fear I have a new theory now.

I did pull the lines off the wastegates and do a quick test on return road, boost hit 8psi and scared the crap out of me, heart was racing for awhile after that. Felt like someone kicked my ass so I can't wait. I am confident the truck will go 10's on 8psi now.

I think we have the suspension a bit more figured out with some new things to try on that also. I can't believe I got best 60ft on a modified suspension and street tires. Either something is working or you other cats have a lot of work to do.

congratz man!! i have one Q. your trap speed is low compared to your 1/4 time? just wondering why i only get 12.2 with 115 and you're 11.4 on 117.

Jeremy and I talked about my Mph -vs- ET this morning.

Basically we came to the conclusion all you other guys are leaving a lot on the table.

As Jeremy was stating to run a 10.9 you need 121 MPH for most drag cars, and I trust his general rule of thumb. 1 mph is good for about .1 seconds.

To compare that rule of thumb his sy went 11.9 @ 111. 10mph slower and 1 second slower. Fits the rule perfectly.

My time was 11.44 @ 117. 4mph slower than 121 and .5 tenths slower than the 10.9 rule of thumb. Again fits fairly close.

So with that said your 115 mph should be a 11.6 run. I suspect your 60ft times are lacking where I was running mid 1.66's.

Your 60ft I am guessing was a 1.8 to 1.9.

Now with that said I am only running 5psi and the turbo isn't happy until 10psi. I am fairly confident with 8psi and a good track day/condition it WILL go 10's.

yeah i got a 1.8 with alot of wheelspin. thanks for pointing it out, but didn't know that 0.2 at the 60 ft would be 0.8 sec. i thought it was more like 0.4.
anyway, i got a msg from mark that your truck was much faster than his..lol, and he already screamed in my truck, are your seats still clean?

It did smell a bit funny when I drove it in to work this morning. That damn brit shit in my seat didn't he.

He did promise me if I fly to london for your meet next year he would leave his ty at the airport with keys in it so I can compare them.

1.66 I think, 1.6 for sure had some 1.68 a 1.66, in that range.

you never know with them. would be fun if you came over here as well, my house is always open for cool peeps. really hoping to have atleast 15 trucks at the next meet, and maybe if we scheduled it with the swiss it would be close to 35 or so.
