Regardless of nomenclature, a compound-series system greatly differs from a true twin-turbo set up. The point I was trying to make is that the above term "twin turbo" is incorrectly used to refer to the majority of compound/series applications, when in fact there are two different sized turbochargers.

Huh? What you were doing was saying a sequential setup was a compound setup. And that is just not the case. Nomenclature matters when you are trying to define something...
