Turns over but wont start

It has 32psi of fuel pressure the ignition is hot but it wont start. Ive swapped coils and nothing. I unhooked the battery to weld on the exhaust could this have anything to do with it? what else could i try?

Not sure what "ignition hot" means. Plug a spark plug into the coil wire, set it on a good ground, crank and see if you have spark.

ignition module, assuming you have fuel pressure and the ECM B fuse isn't blown.

Yep, part number is 1048-2827 (located under your distributor cap, BTW).

If you have an alarm system on your truck, it will need to be reset before the truck will start.

i pulled the white wire from the MSD digital 6 box and it has spark (MSD tech support said this is the way to test the ignition). I'll try the spark plug check tomorrow morning...if Hurricane Ike allows me too...were kinda close.

where is the ECM B fuse located?

not an alarm but a complete system kill when not plugged in.

In the fuse block under the dash by where your left foot would be. However if you have fuel pressure, the fuse is good.

yea 32 psi with 50 lb injectors

Pull one of the plugs that's easy to get to and see if it's wet or not. That will tell you right away if fuel is getting into the cylinders or not. If it's not that is a text book bad ignition module problem. If it's bad, the injectors won't get reference pulses to open and close. Therefore, no fuel delivery to the cylinders. BTDT.

I FOUND IT!!!! The distributor is toast...once the cap and rotor was pulled off the whole thing was completely rusted through....$100 to replace...
