Turbo Question

I have a Mitsubishi compressor housing that's a little larger than the factory with a 35 wheel in it that fits perfect in the original location. There's no vacuum line fitting on the top of the compressor like the factory housing and no flat machined area to put on there if I wanted to. There's plenty of places to drill and tap for a fitting but wasn't sure the best place to put it since I'm no turbo expert. I just want to make sure the waste gate operates like the factory one and wanted someone with experience to help me out. I was told I could remove the compressor housing and drill and tap off the outlet where the hose goes to the intercooler. Is this the best area?

Im doing the same thing. I need to drill and tap a fitting in the housing for the wastegate. Im not experience but Im going to drill mine where the rectangle is. Pressure is pressure I would not be to picky. Bought some needle nose pliers from Walmart and shaved the tips down so they fit in the holes of the C clip. Peice of cake taking the compressor housing off with those. Not sure if your turbo uses a C clamp.

My rectangle area is close to the same spot as you and that's where I'm going to put my fitting also. Like you said, pressure is pressure.
