Turbo question?

Re: Turbo question?

I am sure I will have money to spend on it in the future, but the thing is the turbo needs to be replaced and the exhaust is shot, so I figured while doing the exhaust I would get a DP and cat for it and go straight back from there. As for the turbo I was just checking into getting some different setups before I made any decisions, that is why I posted on here about that. Yes I did just pick the truck up last weekend and it does need work. I am sorry if anyone is getting mad at my questions I am just trying to figure thing out on the truck and take in as much info as possible. I have the turbo all figured out now, I am going to get the waller hybrid 57 turbo I already spoke with him about it. Thanks for the help again and please keep the flaming to a minumum.

Here is the link to the new members forum with my truck and info on it.

You will find we are more than willing to help anybody out. But the group as a whole is like a father figure in a lot of ways. Remember when your a kid and your dad kept telling you not to do something as he knew what the outcome would be, wether it is climbing that old dead tree in the backyard, or running in front of cars in the street. Your response was always "Dad I know".

Just take a few breathes, do some research and we can get you up to speed.

Ok thanks for the help. I talked to the guy about the DP and he is going to refund my money, I am going to start with the waller turbo. Anyone know where I can get a nice 3in cat back for a good price? That is going to be my next purchase because the exhaust is shot on this truck.

There have been trucks in the 11's with the stock downpipe so a 3" one isn't really needed unless your switching to a larger or PTE style turbo so i'd say leave the stocker alone and put a wanted add in the classifieds for a catback system, put wallers turbo on and move on to the next head ache.

by the way the only bolt-on catback system for our trucks that im aware of still available is the RPM kit which can be found on www.sytyperformance.com

In the past there were Borla, ATR, Kenne Bell etc but they have all stopped producing them

"madmike" Mike Pierce went 11.9xx with his pte 49 I believe

He had TE-45 which is a pretty good sized turbo 3" down pipe. Mark (Campbell Auto) did 2.5" stock down pipe his 11.6 Typhoon and I think Dig had his stock down pipe with 11.8 20G runs.
