ill start off to say those things are pretty damn fast. This guy started to follow me out of the parking lot of tim hortons and was riding my ass for about 4 blocks..so we turn left onto a 8 lane wide street (4 on each side...perfect for racing) and he blows by me letting me know its got a turbo...so we line up together and hes got totally blacked out windows so i didnt get to see the poor soul...so he jumps the gun and is almost half way through the intersection be4 the light turns ....i release the breaks and launch..took me 60 feet to catch him and i left him in the dust about 1 car length behind...the only problem was when i hit about 100km/h he started to really pull and would have passed me if i didnt have to back out of it because my tires arent balanced right and they shake like crazy over 110 km/h...there were a few times he tried to get me going from about a 50 km roll but i didnt bite and saved the embarassment hahaha

They just got off first is the only reason, I killed one from a light about a year ago. It wasn't even close.

Even though, there's a guy at my work that has a SRT-4 and he said he's never ran better then a high, high 13 in the quarter, but usually 14's.

before I put my car away for the winter I was testing with the wastegate
left wide open... no boost
One of those guys thought he would tease me so i let him.
I got him at the launch.. but held back a bit so we stayed even.
Then he started to pull on the other side of the lights and was grinning
and so at that point I burieded it... and left him wondering.. till we both pulled
in at the next station for gas. I showed him the engine and he was impressed
then i showed him the disconnected waste gate and he went real quiet.

There not race cars but they are sure fun as shit to fly around in.. even with some of the srt4 upgrades out there the pt cruiser is just too heavy to be something to worry about without some nice amounts of coin invested

Another problem with the PT Turbo *(I have one as a DD), is the front tires spin way too much....it's hard to beat AWD.

I pulled on one pretty bad in the Omni a while back. 10-85 MPH (merging on the highway), I put 8-10 lengths on him. He still had the temp tags and everything :lol:. They aren't crazy fast, just decently peppy, with tons of potential (but still limited by traction)

Seeing as we are on this topic a funny thing happened to me today, i don't usually street race but today was a bit of an exception. I just took my Sy out of winter storage and was out for a slow paced cruise after some fresh fuel, i pull up to a light and a PT Turbo (that i must say looked awesome) pulls up to me with the stereo blasting, a younger dude looks over at me. The light turns green and we both leave at the same time, same pace. After about 50 feet he jumps on it and so do i at approx the same time, to my surprise i totally embarrassed him! He turned at the next intersection and gave me a huge thumbs up :tup: , i thought that was cool......
