Turbo Integra...

I was hanging out in here in Johnson City, TN with some friends/acquaintences blah blah blah... A guy I know has a Turboed Integra that runs strong and looks good. we were at a light and we figured what the heck, but not too fast though, too many cops around. I didn't boost up. we took off. i got him off the line, but soon enough he was next to me and he started walking away and was ahead a bit when we let off. we only went to probably 50. If i did a hard launch I don't know how it would be, but i think he would have buzzed by me before quarter mile pretty easily. i'm not running my chip yet either, but i don't think it would have made much of a difference. I don't feel too bad though because I heard he ate up our buddies Z28 from a roll.

How much money did it cost him to get that thing into syty z28 area? I wonder what its worth too?

Good story though...I just don't see the point IMO...I see integras by the 100's every day. Oh well...just my opinion I guess.

i'm not too sure how much it cost him. it's actually his second time having the car. he's one of those guys who trades cars like every month. he has to get a dealers license now because he's registered so many cars in his name. anyway, he traded it for a while then it had more work done to it and he got it back or something. i think it's running 10 psi. there ARE too many integra's, but hey, why not have one of the fastest around...

I've seen an Integra Turbo racing this summer couple of times. He went 13.8's at 115. 115! That' s trap speed man! His short times were in the 2.5 range. His top end was very strong. It would kill a sec faster SyTy from a roll. BTW I know nothing technical about his car.

Peace,

My Sy is still apart, so ive been playing more with my CRX. I love seeing "ricers" on here. Some of these people have no respect for other ideas, almost like, hillbillys... or Al Gore. I bought my CRX for gas mileage and have now spent WAY too much time and money on it. I just finished a new motor and went to the local track this weekend. It was only about 50 degrees out with 78% humidity with a barometer reading of under 20. UGH, oh well, on my shot ass street tires I ran a best of 14.6 at 99 mph. It is all motor, no Nitrous or turbo. My new motor is a 2.0 instead of a 1.6 so its torque is through the roof for a 2100 lb car with full interior, tank of gas, and 235 lb driver  My brother took some video of my "1/4 mile burnouts" as the anouncer put it :D but i still took some pride from a 5.0 Stang.
I dont understand all the ragging some guys do on imports, even ford and Gm are in to it heavy now. There are FWD 4 cyl cars going low 9's at over 165 mph ! ! Im going saturday to make a dyno run, then sunday with a set of old slicks i have. If i dont break, and can hook up BEFORE 4th gear, it should be fun. I love going fast so it doesnt matter how i do it. It does bother me when i go to the track and have people bad mouth me and my car b4 they see it run or talk to me. Most people would be amazed at how much some of us "Ricers" know about cars. Ive been to "all import" races and us "Kids" are serious about it. So a little less of the banging on imports would be appreciated.
And BTW... i get 25 mpg in town and 30-35 on the highway, it handles like an indy car, and i still smoke your average Mustang Cobra or SS Camaro from a roll, with a investment far less than the sticker price on a used SS or Cobra.

 Not a personal attack, but CRX's only weigh 2lbs. because they are left-over peices of worthless japanese potmetal. Going fast is one thing, but going fast in a jap-trap is another.

Just remember, this great country you live in was originally fought for so it could be what it is today, by hillbillys. Not ricers. And while I'm on the subject, BUY AMERICAN !

My first car was an 85 honda prelude. It had twin carbs stock. That little bastard registered 145, and I pegged it several times. It sucked from a red light, but many a mustang and camaro forgot to talk about the little blue honda they raced.

Of course this was back in like 90 when the only cool rice was Uncle Ben.

The way I see it, if you can buy and build a car that you love, and make it faster than mine, then you tha man.

Your car may be ugly, and sound like my weed eater, and ride like a soap box car, but its yours...and that's just my opinion anyway.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one, and I don't really want to see yours.[/quote]

Hey shopping,

Im a US Marine fighting for this country and so is my roomate who was born in Japan. How much time did you spend fighting for your country? He loves his japanese cars and we dont fight so that everyone buys American, we fight so that everyone can buy what they want.

I'll keep this short so you can get back to fighting for our country. Computers are probably pretty scarce in Afghanistan.

It's great to know that our military spends their time on the internet. I'm sure you're doing a fine job fighting the taliban from syty.net

I salute you... 0X

Its ok, I understand the amount of men and women that died so that you can have your opinion of me and give me the middle finger. You are not the first and not the last to assume that everything they have in this country is free. this will be my last post on this because we are way off topic here. Its amazing how ignorant some people in this country really are. Can you tell me is life easier being ignorant or is it harder? Id imagine its easier because its always easier just assuming and not knowing. But Id be interested to know.

to the guy that had the blue honda. are you sure the mustangs and camarros knew you were trying to race them?? When refering to those mustangs and camarros they must have been 4 and little 6 cylinders. I just dont understand ricers, why buy an economy car thats purpose is to get good gas mileage and be cheap on maintainence and try and make it fast??? Sure they may be a little quick, but what isnt with a 5 speed?

I love eating rice, with any vehicle. I had a bone stock 4.3 5 speed Xtreme a few years ago and I waxed ricers every day, literally. Not a day went by without some punk in a jap-trap trying to race. The only race I ever lost in that truck was to a bad ass Nova. In conclusion, I seriously doubt some old ass prelude beat any ss or stang. My buddy had one and it was the biggest pile ever. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just speaking from experience.

First it was the water in TX, then it was the water in CO, now it's moved to MO. When are they going to get containment on that situation?

I would like to point out that the "dumbass water" issue was isolated to Colorado Springs. The good people north of CS never got to partake.
On to the next issue, dumbasses start baggin' on imports, calling them all ricers, and we defend them, rightfully so, I might add, but the Stangs get bashed all the time and I don't here no love. Where's the love? :-?
