Turbo and inner cooler

A friend of mine is having his 91 Sy beefed up. He has the factory stock turbo and inner cooler that he wishes to sell.

He doesn't want to hassle with doing it so he asked me to do it for him and he'll pay me for it.

I just want to know what would be a fair price for the two? When I say fair, I mean for the buyer AND the seller.

They have 36,000 miles on them.

He went w/a bigger turbo and an Air to air cooler.

If you know of any places I might look else where to sell I'd be thankful.

How much does he need for the turbo? And does it have any play in it?

He's not sure how to check for play in the turbo. I just called and he said it was at home and he's not there.

He's looking for a fair price on the turbo, but isn't sure what fair is.

There was no reason for him to take it off other then to do exactly what he did and that was upgrade to a bigger turbo. It ran perfectly fine before it was removed.

Re: Turbo and inner cooler

I would ask $300 stock turbo, $125 upper Intercooler, lower intercooler depends what it looks like. $100 for a mint on and bracket, but a lot of them are beat up and rusty.

Thanks for your input. Now we have a starting point.

With that said, we now know where to start and will take offers if anyone is interested.

I wouldn't pay $300 for a stock turbo, you can do better than that!, i'm actually looking for a turbo, and i will not take a stock turbo on such an older vehicle for $300 unless it was rebuilt. Lower the price on it, and maybe we can work something out.

I will let him know.

Ever find out what he want for the turbo? Did he check for play? Wheels look ok? Thanks!
Respectfully,
