Turbo Addiction, need help!

I am addicted I admit it. Step #1 complete.

As some may know I once had a Buick T Type. It is the undesirable 84 version, but I converted it to 86 turbo, redid the intake (gutted it), 86 throttle body, syty ecm (no more MAF sensor), 86 intercooler, GNX fender vents, GNX style wheels. Few other things here and there.

At the time an electrical gremlim popped up, so it was parked. I had a syclone, my typhoon was still in 1000's of parts, and other life issues going on so I sold it to a buddy.

It got moved and just sat, he hasn't gotten to it either.

So the deal was made to "buy it back". My typhoon is nearing completion and my daily driver is just plain boring to drive. So here comes project Daily driver.

For the next month or so it will be back burner, might try to find wire issue if I get bored but finishing ty is still priority. But when I am not at home I daydream about how and what to do.

so I need your help. I am going to try to paint it this winter. No show car paint, just nice driver from 20ft type.

My 2 ideas are this, need your suggestion thoughts, or new fresh ideas.

Re: Turbo Addiction, need help!

I have the magazine that first one is in, I was reading it Sunday

I do also somewhere, might be in the "OFFICE" where I do all my paperwork.

Was thinking today of making some custom emblems that look like GNX emblems but say JSX.

Again just going to be a driver, tired of driving plain old cars around for a daily.

#1 is my vote. It still looks like a nice cusyom T Type, 2 looks like a GN with paint

The 1st one look meaner, go with it and the custom emblems that say JSX.

You and I seem to share change VP and President status of the Vehicle ADD club.

I always wished I kept the buick, now it is back.

Will the ty EVER be done? That is the real question.

The parts list is almost complete though. Building a new rear axle, might do a cage and some audio changes. That is about it. I do plan to repaint the front, and do something about removing the excess heat from under the hood. I see the end though and 1 month might not be accurate, but I don't plan to do anything but collect a few parts for the buick until at least I am done racing ty for season then it will go into storage at my 2nd home for a bit.

Storage?!?!

Man, them is "race truck" words. Don't be the pot that calls the kettle black!

In other thoughts. Two-Tone the Buick, and put some cool wheels on it (I have a couple ideas for you). For gods sage PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE upgrade the suspension to something from this side of banana wagon territory!!!!

Re: Turbo Addiction, need help!

Not going to drive the ty in the winter months, race truck or not. The underside although recently rust proof with coating of fresh oil is just to nice to drive in winter.

Suspension will get some tweaks. new bushings, even thought of air bag setup for the hell of it. But budget has to bee kept on this car, as it wasn't on the ty.

I just need something a bit better than a 97 bonneville.

I have never been a big fan of two tone, but if i had to choose i would def select the first one. As far as the JSX emblems DO IT!

There you go Dobreak it will be for sale soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your very own bonneville to go with a Tahoe. Just like your hero. HARDman.

I wouldn't buy that car with your money and give it Hardman. It's all but used up.

I did see a nice '04 Bonneville GXP the other day. One of the new ones with the 5.3 in it. You've been hounding me to get an LS based motor in something I own for several years now!!
