I have something for tunerpro/code59 users that i need a tester(s) for before it becomes available for the masses.

here's a rather large hint of what you'll be tinkering with:

I'll play with it. I need to learn how to use my Code59 anyways... As of now I am just running a stock BIN, and of course, that's no fun!

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

it'd be helpful if you're already familiar with tunerpro, so for those just starting out it's probably best to wait a couple weeks until the more seasoned users can tinker with this version and figure out if i need to change anything and make it better/easier/flexible/what ever.

Thanks everyone, i've gotten a few people interested so we should have enough testing for now.

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

i've only had a couple people use it. I sent it to a couple other people but never heard from them if they used it or anything.

I just compiled a new installer...feel free to try it out:

http://www.michaelrenz.com//RenzFabVEAutoTuner1.9.1Installer.zip

Please let me know if you have any issues with it, or it won't install or run on your computer. It's been tested on windows 7 and 10 and that's it. Should work on anything Windows system at or above XP.

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

Since I know squat about TunerPro I'll download it and see what happens... I don't mind testing, er, tinkering. I attempt it on my old W98 laptop that's in the truck and see if it even loads. I have an XP laptop but will have to look and see if I can connect.

it should work on 98. The program is written in Visual Basic, so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

I am running Win7 Home Premium 64bit.

1. Run-time error ‘380’

This occurs when exiting the program every time.

2. When installing the program there were 2 files that were newer on my computer than the ones in the install program. Maybe you could update the files in your installer? I simply read the error boxes and elected to keep the newer files already on my computer. Pictures below:

3. A wish list item. It would be nice to be able to “SAVE” your injector size. I have a few times forgotten to change it to my size and had messed up my fuel tables. My own mistake but if it was able to be saved that would be one less thing to remember.

4. Large files just give an error. I am not exactly sure what size makes the error. I will have to research the actual .csv file size. I am able to run the same .csv on Matt's web based version without issue.

I appreciate the time that you put into this version that works without an internet connection and also Matt's time for his web based version.

I mostly have used your program for VE (fuel) updates and have played with the timing feature a couple times. I recently upgraded my injectors to 63# Siemens and re-tuned for them as I was at 125% on my stock 32#'ers. I have not used the 1/4 mile calculator as I am not comfortable with my tires right now to run it up to those speeds under load.

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

Follow up to my own post above...
In reference to number 4 above.

I just went thru my log files (.CSV)
I re ran the log with the same .bin I had and it was a 30,136kb .csv file.
This was approximately a 50min ride I had logged.
I ran it on the web based version with no issue.

My guess is it is a file size issue?
The reason I am thinking this is I had a 44,971kb log also that did the same.
Mike, if you would like a copy of the .csv file I can email it to you...LMK

Thanks Mike!

Re: TunerPro User(s) wanted for testing

i'd rather you didn't email me that huge of a file....you should be able to upload it to me though: http://www.michaelrenz.com/upload

I'll look into it...i don't believe i put a file size restriction on it so maybe something else is going on. I can debug it and see what happens.

For the files from the installer - you should just keep the ones on your computer if they're newer. If i put newer files in the installer then older OS's may not function properly so i'd prefer to keep the older stuff. I compiled the linked version in this thread on a Windows10 machine, but VB6.0...so i have no clue exactly what files it's pulling from where when it builds the installer. Honestly, I'd rather not spend the time tracking it down unless it breaks on someone

Thanks for the feedback...i'll see what i can do about saving the settings - if i just did a simple text file that stores in the same directory as where you install the program to, then i could do it that way. That adds a decent amount of code...so can't promise i'll get that done very soon, but i'll see.
