Michael, When I'm going down the road on cruise control at 75mph I see the following #s on the snap on scanner:

MPH 75
RPM 2550
VAC 19 - 22.1 Depending on a minor hill or not and the CC is adjusting for it.
TPS 13%
Spark Adv 24*
AFR 14.7
Des EGR .02 - 2.7

I will try and borrow my friends scanner 2 weeks from now and I will make list of the various readings from 10mph to 75mph in a increase of 10mph as the graph part is not working on his scanner. This weekend is my sweetheart B-day so I won't be doing anything with the truck.

The lower vac reading could be due to the fact that you have a slightly higher than normal operating rpm range at that speed. Most stock trucks will turn 2200-2300 at 75 mph. Do you have a lockup converter? I wonder if that vac reading is correct....I have seen Actron and Matco scanners misreport vac/boost readings on our trucks. Hmmm.....

it's almost as if his TC isn't locked up, with the rpms. but that would almost guarantee lower MPG.

My TC locks up early on in 3rd gear. I believe the Trans and TC are the stock ones :dunno: . But there are times when it seems as if it is locking and unlocking under light load and the only other guy who has work on the truck wasn't able to find the cause of it and he is a certified trans tech. He said it may be a bad sol for the lock up and the next time we service it we are looking into it. All I know is I like going 397 miles on 15.5 gals.

Maybe Sy2455 is boosting less. Even though this isnt a boost area, some *assistance* is still given by the turbo right? The wastegate isnt dumping ALL the boost. I have my boost turned up just a bit, particularly in the lower areas to help get the Ty going. These same areas may be reducing my vacuum. I think we need to compare wastegate duty cylces when we read this data.
